Hi Bro YAB...
Re above effect on Torsion Beam...
Sincerely hope yu can advise on how ( when using a hydraulic jack when DIY-ing ) to best raise :
a) the
complete Rear portion of the Saga;
b) the
complete Front portion of the car....
So far me hv been juz raising one side(corner) only of either front/rear of car...@indicated positions stated in the User Manual...2b safe & not bend any part of the underside by putting the full load on2 that "anchor/support point" for the jack...
TQVM in adv.
Hv a nice day!

As Jim mentioned, the front has an anchor for your convenient to jack up the whole front part of the car. Sadly, there isn't 1 for the back. I have seen SC that use the tofubeam as an anchor point, whilst the owner wasn't aware of that. I've been to many tayar shop to do my footwork many times, the only thing I realized is they always use 1 jack infront and 2 at the back for both side. Once I throw the question to my dearest magician, he honestly told me he had it once but dare not to do it again. He had an Toyol Rolla Altis drove in, he had done the front part and went for test, to found that there's caliper jam at the back wheel. ABS keep on triggering due to unbalance braking. Customer is rushing his to finish off as need to travel back to other state. Out of desperate, he jacked the whole rear part up and start refurbishing the rear brake calipers with service kit. Once done, test drive was perfect and there's not more imbalance braking. ABS back to normal and customer took the car and went back to Kelantan. The horror part was, after several days later, the client called back and inform there's something wrong with the car, asking if magician did anything to the camber. The whole rear part of the alignment is out. Both rear wheel camber and toe are POSITIVE! Did he admit if it's his fault? No he didn't. He can't be sure if the client hit anything on the way back, or it was already damaged when customer sent in the car. But 1 thing for sure, the tofubeam is now bent UPWARD as suggested by the positive camber. Will he do it again? Definitely not. Die die won't do it again. If got caught... it's going to be painful.

I'm happy to say that jacking the front of mine is extra easy, I just push my trolley jack under the centre of the number plate until the pump handle touches, then just pull the jack back a couple of cm and pump. There's a support bar there that looks like it was made for my jack, and saves my aging body some effort.
Do you jack the back at the torsion beam?
