My Gaga, did 29k km only.. bought it on 2013 (but its a 2012 stock, got discount mah), now got somesort of humming noise from the wheel following car speed lately.. sound like "wooo~~" still using stock rim.. i suspect its wheel bearing, but i doubt it because i only did 29k km, however i wont exclude that possibility.. i cant bring the car to sc on next coming week due to working.. or maybe its due to hardening tyres?  hmm.gif
*
sound like "wooo~~". if sound is getting noisier when increasing speed, surely it's wheel bearing. but still should go checked it up first before conlanfirm it's wheel bearing.
go to outside shop. no need go sc.
but yours flx iinm ady. blm/fl normal problem.
mine fl rear right bearing changed 3 1/2 year old car with 52k mileage.
wheel bearing is not directly related to mileage iinm.

Yes and no.

BLM/FL the spindle is separated from the bearing. It has the advantage of bearing replacement and cost effective for consumer. However, when bearing is not hard fixed into the spindle, chances are each time the bearing damaged, debris will be grinding through the spindle and make the shaft vulnerable over a long period(until bearing being replaced).

FLX(after 2nd batch), the spindle is 1 piece with the bearing built in. No your can't change the bearing only, must change the spindle together. Since the bearing is fixed inside the spindle, it doesn't get damage as often. You often heard BLM/FL/Savvy rear wheel bearing damaged very quickly, whilst never heard of their front bearing got problem. This is because, FLX is now using the similar type of bearing built in spindle. Disadvantage is, since the bearing is built in, if bearing damaged the whole piece of spindle will have to be replaced. Usually the costing is 2~3x of BLM/FL bearings.

No say better or no better. Having the newer FLX with the 1 piece bearing, you get less headache. The barang also tahan lama compare to the old type. But ofcourse, the trade off is more expansive compare to old model. The bright side of having the 1 piece bearing is, you save up time going to workshop change bearing every once in awhile. Not only the 1 piece bearing cost 2~3 times more than the normal bearing, it last 3~5 times longer than the normal bearing as well. So, you choose lar yawn.gif

Hi..

Just need clarification.. when is the time to change timing belt?

1. 80000km
2. 90000km
3. 120000km (as per service booklet)

What is FEAD?

my flx is already 80167km

Pls also advise the less expansive way for timing belt replacement.
*
between 80k-120k. check the timing belt condition first.
FEAD belt is aircond belt.

Roughly how much will it cost to change front left bearing?
*
front bearing rm3xx-4xx
rear bearing rm1xx.
all include labour.
i suspect your rear bearing rosaked, not front, like my case same like yours. my case heard like from the front left but actually rosaked at the rear right.
get it checked first.

Hi all, i was planing to change my saga flx se tyre from 195/50/15 to 195/55/15,Use back the ori rim, ori absorber and ori spring.

Base on the feedback from the member who changed the tyre the problem is the 55 profile will scrub the mudguard in full turn.

So how about when we doing u-turn on the road? Will it scrub the mudguard as well?

My purpose is reduce the bumpy feel and tyre noise when 4 or 5 ppl in the car. Or just upgrade the suspension and stick back the the 50 profile tyre?

Hope all sifu can gv me some advise, thks...
*
doing full turn steering will scrub the mudguard.
u doing full turn when u-turn? then it will.
either :
1) change tyre to yokohama cdrive2 195/50/r15 as drfeelgood rekomen
2) change to 55 profile and avoid doing full turn.
3) add spring bush or change to proride taxi spring then change to 55 profiles and doing full turn without hassle.
