Back here after so long.

Gonna ask you guys, do you do air-cond servicing?
I went to the shop, they quoted me rm475. I was like, got this expensive meh?
*
300 out of 475 is for workmanship, becos they have to open up ur dashboard before can take out the condenser to service. whistling.gif
A good workshop will tell you the truth that is not worth to service aircond, the shop you went most probably want to con your money. whistling.gif

Don't fix it if not broken. Our aircond no need service one. if you feel not cold, you can ask to check for coolant level, they will estimate if there is any leakage by looking the % moisture inside the coolant. If they check no sign of leaking but coolant level is reduce, it is normal, you can refill the coolant and test for 3 months. I refill my coolant after my car reach 5 years, nearly 50% gone, but no sign of leakage, they refill coolant for me and now adi 6 months the aircond still very cold. If leakage due to condenser, straight away change condenser + refill gas all those thing only cost you around RM600.

Aircond service is for those cars that doesn't need dashboard dismantle, definitely not our Saga.

I just went to flush my condenser oil and refill coolant using a machine nia. Under RM 200 to buat.  rolleyes.gif

Putting a pollen filter would help. Air cond still reasonably cold, good to service the air cond because these days weather sooo hot.  doh.gif

200? They dismantle anything? blink.gif Mine RM100 for same job done. nod.gif

Did my stock gaga (FLX SE) alignment once changed the tires from 50 to 55 series for the front set.  rclxms.gif

What a great improvement  rclxm9.gif ..improved n reduces the bumpiness. thumbup.gif  Of coz handling slightly affected  rclxub.gif  - felt not so stable on hard cornering. hmm.gif

Between after done the alignment, the car still sway to left but a bit nia...Previous hit a large hole and burst off the tyres too on the left hand side.

The shop telling me that if the alignment still run, they will adjust it by installing the "camber". Heard that the camber thingy not that compulsory to install.  hmm.gif

Regarding alignment, lots of ppl misunderstood 'perfect' alignment = car stay straight when hands off.

You won't get perfect alignment at all, don fool urself or fooled by workshop.

Example 1: The workshop adjust the alignment to perfect level in the workshop (the ground is absolutely flat), your car will go straight in flat surface. However pls bear in mind, most of the roads in Malaysia are decline in road side, means your car weight will always slightly shift to left side, thats why ur car will sway to left abit most of the time.

Example 2: The workshop adjust alignment with only driver seat occupied. Your car will go straight with only u onboard, if got passenger in left side, your car once again will sway abit to left. And this depends on the weight of your passenger also. Same thing apply whether rear passenger is sit in left or right side. If Najib drive ur Saga with Rosmah on left passenger seat, the car will sway to left undoubted.

So from both examples above, is all about the weight distribution. In other words, u won't get a perfect alignment that ur car will move in perfectly straight line, you only can request an alignment that suit your driving condition most of the time (let say most if the time you drive alone or with passenger in front) and compromise in certain condition. Unless u need to put a great effort to hold ur steering during straight line, else no need to readjust the alignment so often.

People like him are gold. Chances are just replacing the bush should correct any problem.
The way it would work here is align the car, take the money and advise a bush is worn and should be replaced, then book in the replacement job and charge for another alignment to set the car back to where it was.
*
In Malaysia here the way to do alignment is hook up the machine and tell u 'ur camber run away, need to add camber nut'.... yawn.gif

Hi Bro YAB... notworthy.gif
Re above effect on Torsion Beam...
Sincerely hope yu can advise on how ( when using a hydraulic jack when DIY-ing ) to best raise :
a) the complete Rear portion of the Saga;
b) the complete Front portion of the car....

So far me hv been juz raising one side(corner) only of either front/rear of car...@indicated positions stated in the User Manual...2b safe & not bend any part of the underside by putting the full load on2 that "anchor/support point" for the jack... tongue.gif

TQVM in adv.
Hv a nice day! notworthy.gif

For normal jack, I always use two jacks for the front or back for that purpose. Unless i got the trolley jack. Becos i afraid if use single normal jack it will snap in sudden and i will die. ph34r.gif
