Sorry, guys.
Finally, I cave in and leave Maxis overall. I do hope CelcomDigi Fibre under Digi network performs really well for the upcoming 2 years. Got 6 months FREE fibre + free upgrade to 500 Mbps with RM129 300 Mbps price. Got free TP Link EX510 router included. After 6 months, FREE ended, they will converge my CelcomDigi Postpaid with fibre to CelcomDigi ONE Ultra with special price RM260. Ok la, can save a lot of money overall. ![]() Thank you Maxis Fibre 500 Mbps for providing stable internet for the last 2 years. So far I am happy with it even though I have to deal with LOS 3 times due to cable cut. This post has been edited by khainiz94: Sep 27 2024, 08:34 PM |

QUOTE(khainiz94 @ Sep 27 2024, 08:32 PM) Sorry, guys. With competition so tense between providers, just go with one that you feel value for money and stable. True.I only appreciate you guys so much because thanks to all of you, I am able to get my first fibre at my home with Maxis Fibre rather than Unifi with their shitty routing even with my previous Unifi Air. Especially at night, slow Twitter browsing, problematic US routing etc. I really hate Unifi routing so much since Streamyx days. What a memory. 😆😆😆 Kalau LOS tu normal la, fibre cut, pokok tumbang. Luckily my area mostly Unifi user so that issue usually solved within a few hours. So again, thank you guys for guidance and assistance overall. QUOTE(xjoshualaw29 @ Sep 28 2024, 07:24 AM) Huhu... True. All the best! But if Digi is able to give good routing consistently, and surprisingly which is quite good so far. I might stay with them even longer due to CelcomDigi ONE Ultra plan. Even calculate with Maxis Fibre + Postpaid Unlimited is no match in terms of pricing. Maxis need to be aggressive in this department. Better convergence plan to fight CelcomDigi ONE plan. Anyway see you guys on the other side. 🫣🫣🫣 This post has been edited by khainiz94: Sep 28 2024, 09:50 AM YoungMan liked this post

BTW I forgot to ask you guys, why Digi routing is funny?
Only Digi I will get connected to Cloudflare SG with WARP. Other telcos connected to KUL. 😆😆😆 But no matter la, I can watch Disney+ SG with just free VPN from Cloudflare WARP. 🤣🤣🤣 Other VPNs seems don't want to allow Disney+ SG working properly. Finally upgraded to 100Mbps.
But after testing the speed on my PC(wired), laptop, and phone, the maximum speed that I get is 70Mbps/50Mbps. It is possible that my router is bottlenecking the speed? |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 1 2024, 04:27 PM) The default router, AX3000.Maybe now is peak hour, I'll test the speed again at mid night. UPDATE: Did some speed test at 12.30am, it speed is even lower, I'm getting 60Mbps/50Mbps. This post has been edited by Created On 21/1/2021: Oct 2 2024, 12:40 AM |

Do Maxis users need to play the “IP pool lottery” like Unifi users do? I always seem to get 121.122.xx.xx or 121.123.xx.xx and performance has, for the most part, been decent. Just curious. I’m not living full-time in the house with Maxis so I’m thinking of scheduling automated reboot cycles for that particular router. Previously on Unifi I avoided rebooting the old router as much as possible (outside firmware updates) for fear of losing a ‘good’ IP prefix and would ssh into it to clear caches instead. I’m assuming I no longer have to worry about that with Maxis?

I’m assuming I no longer have to worry about that with Maxis? Less worry tbh, but you're on private IP? It should be fine. My friend also uses it and he can play Apex Legends without anymore worries throughout the night. It's way better than Unifi routing since maybe less people are using Maxis.
