Hello guys. I'm considering Maxis Fiber because Maxis and Allo Fiber will be available in my area soon. So I wanna if I can torrent with Maxis Fiber? And also, if you don't mind I'm asking, how about Allow Fiber?

Wonder if it's worth switching to Maxis? Their 1 Gbps seems tempting and we're existing Maxis postpaid customers.

I see . I'm getting 900+dl 700+ul for wifi itself. Yet again I'm on ngbb. Something is not right for maxis on tm infra.

Oh yeah, something to keep in mind
Maxis is famous for treating out of contract users badly, like not providing any new promo price etc
Stablity wise all good, just dont expect frequent promo like TM

My experience, Unifi you can ask before port out. Most of the time they got offer. Maxis nothing when you ask after end of contract. But when port out, they usually offer same thing as unifi. So need to do port out first.

just go for the best deals , no point being loyal to any provider, end of the day we as consumers suffer.

Recently I saw Maxis been setting up wiring up in Klang Little India (Tengku Kelana) and some roadside at Kapar does insist Maxis own fibre Infrastructure??

recent upgrade the plan from 800mbps to 2gbps

After market router and switch, modem remain the same Huawei(HG8240H) since 2019

my question is,
internet backbone support 2gbps but LAN ports are bottlenecked at 1gbps, speedtest will test internet backbone. Local speed cap at 1gbps.

How to solve this instead of upgrade all the device, modem, router, switch

helo guys, from your experience,  how long for techician to solve the broken fibre ? Maxis fibre riding on TM infra.

Still waiting for installation, it's taking so long

My case was different as they just create a new order then asked me to go TMpoint to terminate saja although they messed up the installation since had to find the distribution point (DP) box in my area.

My installation they gave the wrong DP and luckily I kept the old details of the DP. At least that saved the time to do the installation.

I suppose that way is faster but then a lot of mistakes from the Maxis CS side to provide the correct details for installtion 

My friend joined me on the same bandwagon using 1Gbps but his case already around 4 days of waiting for the transfer process. I guess maybe 2 weeks if TM trying to be holding back.

TM already approve the transfer out on 27th, but maxis didn't call until I called them add make noise today

Ah... that explain why my unifi account still works temporarily. Tempting to put back but then limited by 1 fiber line unless i split it which I am not sure will it affect the speeds. Oh well... Happy with my speeds for now. TM capped my speed properly and overall satisfied with it. Just going to put up my TUF AX6000 tomorrow morning and test it.

My case was Maxis had to ask TM. Since my package was initially using the wrong DP port.

I provided the details for my DP box at the back of my house and TM had to check their backend. Once they got the confirmation, the modem PON line is green light and stable. Initially, it was blinking continously but after liasing with the TM contractors. I requested for as much details as possible. Ranging from the ONU password until the DP box details. I also enquired that for the 2.5Gbps modem replacement to remove the hardware bottleneck.

I think you can check back my posts in the other subforum where Blacktubi had his issue as well that I mention that they priortize to provide the 2.5Gbps modem to 2Gbps users instead of both 1Gbps and 2Gbps users.

Hopefully you can settle yours as well. I am not sure how is the TM contractors in your State compared to Sarawak here.  :thumbsup:

I'm currently paying RM89 for 30Mbps, I wish to upgrade to 100Mbps, but Maxis offers me RM99 instead of RM89 for the 100Mbps.

It is so unfair for existing customer like me to pay more for 100Mbps while new users pay RM10 less for 100Mbps.

My friend had an outage few days ago, broken fiber from DP
Just now Maxis called him to check on his issue, and they're offering him RM159 1Gbps despite he is a user of both fiber and postpaid
Maxis said it is for selected customers, so if you have the option in app to grab the 1Gbps plan... Congratulations

Does Maxis Kaon AR2140 wifi signal is bad?? I'm installed Wifi camera on my place when it's nearby no issue. When it's outdoor camera it's been sluggish keep getting prompt that wifi connection is weak in all camera...

I'm planning to get Asus router, my doubt is I got 4G dongle to use incase fibre down so can I use dongle on Asus router incase fibre down as back up?

I did Transfer to TM. Within 3 days, 123 call me & ask why transfer to unifi bcoz im still left 12 month contract. Then, i say honestly bcoz TM gip RM89 for 100Mbps with free 6 month bill. Maxis CS say how long contract from TM. I say 3 year. Then, she offer me Maxis Home Fibre 100Mbps with RM89. Price is fixed discount for RM10 as long im stay with this package. She also can offer me RM129 for 300Mbps. But, i reject. No free bill bcoz still got contract. Will try get this retention offer with free bill when contract finish. But as usual, my place get speed capped from TM disgusting practice for other ISP. Get around 93Mbps most of time. Still ok as TM nut will lag at night. Everything is super smooth with Maxis network. Website loads instantly than TM.

Is Maxis’ speed consistent with international sites/servers during peak hours? Yes I’m getting irritated by TM’s slowdown at 8pm-12am.

Idk what is happen today. But, Maxis Fibre 100Mbps in TM speed capped area no more cap at 93Mbps. Download files before stuck at 92~93Mbps. But now, easily reach 95~100Mbps..even above 200Mbps speed spike when first click download..

now my fibre cable broken due to mouse bite, will unifi accept terminate and reapply or i just transfer to other service provider?

Speedtest result. Data usage now slightly bump. Despite different from 92~93Mbps to 95~100Mbps... too bad, only me use Maxis in my taman area. Cannot see difference. Will try get 300Mbps later in the next 2~3 years. When another round of price cut happen.. Speed capped area for that plan suppose to be 270~280Mbps..
