We have to pay the 6% on top of the 5%. So if SC RM100, then we pay add'l RM6. Total RM106 from our pocket.

Ok... Time to stop looking into any asnb.

If they charge like that 7-8% also hard to cover back the lost.

No incentive like the RHB one that I mentioned ? the ".x" is the 6% GST.

Follow up from my frustrating experience yesterday.

Called the ASNB here. Initially I was told that I could not buy ASM due to system upgrading. I explained the ASNB memo on ASN (1-5 Apr) and ASX (5 Apr). Then she said with the system upgrading, it would be slow in getting ASM.

First it is this, later that. Reminds me of MAS (Mana Ada System)!

Asked about going to banks and was told it would be the same with the slow speed.

Giving up. Now they don't deserve the title of being the branch with the highest ASX transactions in Malaysia! Ha.

I can understand your frustration.
Today I went to a red color bank branch in KL. The customer service told me all Pnb system bank down nationwide. Apply to all agents bank till next week

Thereafter I went to another red color bank in PJ. Problem solved. Transaction could be done as usual. Sometimes the staff just lazy and not helpful.

Still cannot open ASM fund. New units issued ?

I think they misread ASNB's 2 memos on ASN and ASX system down dates.

Or they take the easier way out by saying it is for ALL ASX?

My drive for this is getting less and less now. Ha. sad.gif

Went to Maybank Sri Serdang last week to apply for a ASB loan, the staff playing with her phone while my wife and I came to discuss.

We straight walk out and the manager went to the car to apologies.

RHB only. Banks do not show all offers on their website or may show it later. Call up RHB branch or go there to visit the branch. biggrin.gif

I see. Surprisingly, RHB 3 mth FD 7% and 6 mth one is even higher 7.8%. Would have thought for 6 mth the FD promo rate would be lower. Anyway I have yet to sign up as my cheque just cleared today and have to do it on Monday. biggrin.gif
