ASNB oso impose 1% service charges on Buy transaction for AS1M since it was launched in 2009
However, they have yet to implement such 'right' since inception

May be someone is pulling our legs here with the new AS1M passbook.

Went to ASNB and the lady said no new AS1M passbook yet. Only for 2 funds, ASM is one of them.

I went to ASNB twice trying to change the passbook and now the news that there is no new AS1M passbook to change. Really annoyed, wasting my time, petrol, energy, and everything from A to Z!

I should have verified the AS1M new passbook with others or ASNB first before going.

They're on Twitter and Facebook, just ask them if you're not the calling on the phone type. You could also email to them too tongue.gif

I may be wrong but the only funds which ASNB has yet to issue notice to change passbook is ASB, AS1M and ASW if I'm not mistaken...

Hi Sifus, newbie here. Been reading past posts and noticed that the fixed price funds are now easier to obtain. Does this mean I can try to open an account now? Or those units are only available for top up for existing account holders? Non-bumi here. Thanks.

You can try. Depends on clerk want to help you or not. Most place I go tell you we cannot open for you. No more quota. You want to top up can.

Second, depend you lucky or not that day. Got free units. Even if got free units, clerk don't want to help also useless.

Yes, it is really depend on the staff there. They do not want trouble or problem after open the account and no quota.
Then, they have to close account . This is extra work for them and their superviosr might asking why they open account for customer if no quota available.

ah, investing using EPF is not my cup of tea

the amount you can get out from your Acc1 is very very little, unless you have over 1 mil in EPF balance smile.gif

edit: it's Acc1
