Well its your words against his words, and his words against yours...
He said u agreed and u said u didnt...
*
he made an agreement with avenger to let avenger send his item back on the 2nd day.
but avanger only sent the item on the 5th day which makes him cannot accept it. i mean come on, even if he sent it back on 3rd, the agreement is considered void adi, not to say 5th day.

a party stated that he didnt have much time, another party claimed the warranty is void.

Ok i gonna say my last words here:

Espionage, ur careless packing started this problem.

Espionage, u told avenger to return the item the 2nd day i give u that but u didnt tell him until from what i read in the chat logs u only told him on 05 Oct that he will void his warranty if it fails to reach ur hands by 07 Oct.

Espionage, u were inflexable to allow him a grace period of 4 days past the 7 day warranty since u know it takes to 2-4 days from where u r to reach Kedah if u post by Poslaju. This is a stated fact by u of ur 1st hand experience. Just because this time Poslaju delivered it in 1 day doesn't mean the next time it will. So it happens that the CPU failed at the 7th day of warranty I presume u would have avernger simply charter a helicoptor to personally deliever it to u on that day?

avenger, like us all r affect by conditions in life that may prevent him from dealing with ur warranty conditions immediately. For instantance, he may have long working hours or is required to that week to put in long hours for work. The Poslaju counter nearest to him is not in a reachable time during lunch time due to traffic or its distance or the fact he doesn't have long lunches. Then he might have to deal with personal or family issues first before taking time to send off ur items and with a long work day that maybe at a time when the Poslaju counters are closed.

Finally, Espionage, ur warranty condition stinks of unethical requirements that no shop selling retail products would employ. If anything else this thread displays your trading standards which other LowYat will see and they, themselves will judge whether it is worth the trouble to trade with u or not.

Ok lets make this straight..

He posted/notified u on the 1st day he got the proc...
U asked for returned, but he was bz and wanted to try fixing it as he dont want to waste money shipping it back and all the trouble.
He finally send it back and u received it after the warranty period.

The problem arise coz your packaging is not good, and u are not lenient on your warranty period..

So case solved?
Too bad for Avenger then, coz u wanna stick with your rules....he has to bear the loss..

The fact of the matter is how u packed the cpu that got him mad n yes he jump the gun a little n made this thread but it was 6 days later he made another post.

The real issue here n its not ur hurt pride as much as u like to think it is, is that u have an extremely constricted warranty condition/requirement which u have not explained to avenger until he said wanted post the items back to u on sunday if possible saturday n improbable friday.

Frankly, i dont give a damn about how long u r trading here. I only care how u treat the current ppl trading with u. Ur past performance does influence a bit on the current opinion but it does not make it current opinion! In other words just because u were sweet to others in the past doesn't u r sweet to them now. N now is what matters the most n not the past!

During the postage there is no one to blame....or else only pos malaysia.....

because i know pos malaysia got so many prob...that is why i gave the buyer 1 week warranty. to let the customer to have a peace of mind.....

So once i receive the good within the time frame...i will do the RMA....

But the buyer refuse to follow my rule...and sacasticly...actacking me instead....

Point...the buyer is not considerate at all...RUDE...and ridiculous...

I am a give and take person...but this person makes me nuts...
If the buyer attitude like this..guys...how to do feel?

it is not the matter of $$$
it is a matter of respectation.

Sorry but why blame pos malaysia?
U should have pack the proc more properly...

Yes RMA (in shop) would follow the time frame, but then here isnt a shop, and its your fault that the proc wasnt packed properly..

Its u that isnt considerate at all...

And btw...1 week warranty ISNT about pos malaysia lousy service...Its warranty if within the time the proc failed..

Btw...I did bought a PIII proc from u cod near klcc if u remembered...
The proc was only wrapped by some thin foam and tied by rubberband..which could bent the cpu pin..

Well I see no respect shown to the seller.

No one will be so free to send a faulty cpu like that, I personally bought 3pcs Tbird 1G from him to assemble PC for my client, none of them fail.

Socket A processor is very fragile item, improper handling will cause the damage to cpu core, that's the reason why a lot of manufacturers refused to build PC product based on this cpu.

Avenger, since you are so "pro" in hardware, why you didn't ask Simon to remove the heatsink fan first?

I list out some steps which both side also missed out:

Espionage:
You should take the photo of the actual items right before you sent out the parcel, to show Avenger there is no crack or chip off on the cpu core.
And then as a seller, you are right because you didn't remove the heatsink fan. The risk of being damaged by postman is much lesser than the risk of being damaged by end user due to mishandling and assembly of heatsink fan by his own.

Avenger:
As a pro, u should aware of the careless ppl from poslaju team.
You have the proper skill and knowledge to make sure the cpu core won't ruin on your hand by installing a heatsink fan on your own, then you should request Espionage to remove the heatsink fan.
That's not the best way for noobs, but that is a better way for you since you know-how.

Nevertheless, I have no comment on the warranty period. If there is any, then Espionage should state there, 1week personal warranty against manufacturer defects, physical damage and any damages due to overclocking will void the warranty.

And again for Avenger, no matter how, this is already your asset, send it promptly for warranty claim is your responsibility.
There is no black and white.

And afterall, please, this faulty item only how much only?
I see so many outsiders shouting like you are one of the victim too, need like that meh?

Peace. Let them settle individually.

Espionage, the only acceptable solution I find is u return avenger's money or replace the damaged cpu n post back all the items in the original agreement with the replacement cpu instead of the damaged one.

FYI in the Industry Court (civil court) u will have to give at least 21 days warranty with refund on ur product whether the item is new or 2nd hand or used.

dont create you own rules....
we had agreed with 1 week which is 7 days...
dont simply start your own terms and conditions.

you are here to help but not here to argue nor order people doing things.

u think worth to bring to court? u need to pay thousand ringgit once u bring to court jz bcos small amount money involved...

furthermore pc hardware can consider as fragile item, plus u said poslaju is not reliable and wont handle it properly... u should look for other reliable courier company b4 u send fragile items... but the extra courier cost can bear by buyer if buyer willing to pay...
