Never pack the cpu with the heatsink on it unless the cpu has a metal heat spreader... otherwise u're have cracked cores. And if u pack the heatsink with the mobo, tape the heatsink down or put each rolled up newspaper padding to prevent from moving around when posted otherwise it will damage the mobo's caps n other stuff. - Advice to anyone reading this.

avenger, i ask him to post the logs so we can judge for ourselves. If u wanted to settle it silently u could have done it in private. Since u couldnt settle it in private u open a thread that is open to public riddicule.

Well the problem lies in the fact u have both his money n the items.

First of u didnt deliver the item in 1 day. Poslaju did so dont make a big deal about it. Now i could go on that u r not a shop that handles items from a distro that has to have the RMA items in a certain period of time so that they send it back to manufacturer or their own tech centres for repairs. No instead i gonna put it clearly for u: u did not state before payment was made that should the item/s be faulty that it has to be delivered by to u by no more than 7 days. U only state when payment was made it was a 7 day warranty so avenger is thinking he has to make his claim in 7 days not send the item back within 7 days. Which if there was a worest case senario, it would have taken 4 days by ur estimation to get to him.

Espionage, u told avenger to return the item the 2nd day i give u that but u didnt tell him until from what i read in the chat logs u only told him on 05 Oct that he will void his warranty if it fails to reach ur hands by 07 Oct.

Espionage, u were inflexable to allow him a grace period of 4 days past the 7 day warranty since u know it takes to 2-4 days from where u r to reach Kedah if u post by Poslaju. This is a stated fact by u of ur 1st hand experience. Just because this time Poslaju delivered it in 1 day doesn't mean the next time it will. So it happens that the CPU failed at the 7th day of warranty I presume u would have avernger simply charter a helicoptor to personally deliever it to u on that day?

avenger, like us all r affect by conditions in life that may prevent him from dealing with ur warranty conditions immediately. For instantance, he may have long working hours or is required to that week to put in long hours for work. The Poslaju counter nearest to him is not in a reachable time during lunch time due to traffic or its distance or the fact he doesn't have long lunches. Then he might have to deal with personal or family issues first before taking time to send off ur items and with a long work day that maybe at a time when the Poslaju counters are closed.

Finally, Espionage, ur warranty condition stinks of unethical requirements that no shop selling retail products would employ. If anything else this thread displays your trading standards which other LowYat will see and they, themselves will judge whether it is worth the trouble to trade with u or not.

The fact of the matter is how u packed the cpu that got him mad n yes he jump the gun a little n made this thread but it was 6 days later he made another post.

The real issue here n its not ur hurt pride as much as u like to think it is, is that u have an extremely constricted warranty condition/requirement which u have not explained to avenger until he said wanted post the items back to u on sunday if possible saturday n improbable friday.

Ur past performance does influence a bit on the current opinion but it does not make it current opinion! In other words just because u were sweet to others in the past doesn't u r sweet to them now. Espionage, the only acceptable solution I find is u return avenger's money or replace the damaged cpu n post back all the items in the original agreement with the replacement cpu instead of the damaged one.

FYI in the Industry Court (civil court) u will have to give at least 21 days warranty with refund on ur product whether the item is new or 2nd hand or used.

If he takes u to civil court u will lose.

I think that considered DOA? If broken return in a certain timeframe otherwise i consider the damage ur negelence?

Actually he sayz the warranty starts on the day avenger gets the mobo/cpu/ram. So avenger actually have 3 days to test n 4 days to deliver (if poslaju is slow).

RM50 for the cpu? OOhh i know where that number come from hehehe (/me poke guilty party) but RM50 for the cpu i guess is a fair deal. Since it is not likely he is gonna break his sets of mobo/cpu to give u another. Ur ram ppl r selling from RM15 to RM40. N the mobo should not be more than RM50.

SO taking RM50 for the cpu well its better than none i guess...

As for being a businessman? I think u should look long n hard, Espionage. Because apparently u dont know the word. Only kind of businessman i think of r local ethic stereotypes to discribe ur practices but it's definately not how international or even national businesses deal with ppl n products (expect for those idiots running Streamyx). Even most home grown shops treat their buyers with better repect.

Fact one of ur lack of business knowledge:

His item (cpu) has to be returned within the warranty period of 7 days starting on the day he receives the items(state by u on ur warranty covering cpu, mobo, ram).

U did not state ur return policy either only after the sell of the item with warranty was being claimed.

That means ur warranty is illegal because it has a catch 22 for the 7th day since he is most unlikely (poslaju) to be able to return it that day.

Warranty means that said item is in working condition and that the time given is used for inspection of that item for defects. If ur return policy conflicts with ur warranty given than u're issuing an illegal warranty.

Fact two:

He notified u that the item was unacceptable within that warranty period (day 1 of his warranty).

U accept fault was caused was not by him thus accepting his warranty claim. Therefore the item was defective when it reached his hands. That means u must replace or refund the item other u commit a Breach of warranty.

U stated ur return policy to be within the warranty period. Again, u have issued an illegal warranty.

What this all means is that Espionage either does not have a warranty at all or really he is issuing illegal warranties (warranties that he can break anytime).
