From what I understand most passes are based on calendar days rather than the actual time. It will expire on the 3rd day regardless of what time you used it on the first day.

4 days to go before returning to Malaysia, walking non stop everyday till feet sore. Kyoto and Tokyo crowded like mad

Just back from my Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka trip.

Apparent they already stop restocking the normal Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki. Only will sell special editions (much more expensive).

As of today, left Yamazaki and Hakushu (ageless) 700ml and Hakushu 12 year 180ml in KIX.

KIX airport prices (before they stop selling)
Yamazaki/hakushu 3000
Yamazaki/hakushu 12 5700
Yamazaki 18 16500
Yamazaki 21 96300

Hibiki 12 4100
Hibiki 17 8000
Hibiki 21 16500
Hibiki 30 96300

All 700ml

Reason why stop is apparently they are running out of stock. Not sure in future will have or not. Those in Osaka area can still get from Yamazaki Distillery (must pay tax) or if you lucky, can find from department stores around Osaka area but you won't be able to get Yamazaki 12 as it's too popular. Hibiki 12 or Hakushu 12 maybe can, but I reckon will become more rare too.

On another note, managed to find Macallan 12 year sherry cask for only 3600 yen in Osaka =D.

if you can get it cheap in Japan, it is worth it. Rrp in Malaysia is not worth it.
Also, Yamazaki shot to fame when they were awarded for being a top whiskey.

i remember drinking it last time before they won it. that time still young. Dont know how to enjoy.Recently buy to drink and try. I feel it may be good for a 12, but for that price... a bit hesitant.

Honestly, if you can get a macallan 15 for yamazaki 12 price. macallan 15 is still a better drink to enjoy.
