QUOTE(lucaswjk @ Jan 20 2015, 08:58 PM) y no tokyo tower... their "special" lighting is famous and actually there is another tower which is nice and FREE... i think it is called... Tokyo Metropolitan Tower my Tower visiting is Tokyo SkyTree -> snap outside Tokyo Tower -> climb staircase and get the token as souvenir, then stay until night for the pink... mayb Tokyo Metropolitan Tower -> Fuji VIEW... if im lucky Or you can try Mori tower 53rd floor in Roppongi. There is a restaurant there and lunch its not expensive. I have a pass which allows me to go up for free and lunch at 1000yen. Visitors I think need to pay 1,500 yen to go up and lunch maybe the same.

QUOTE(michlove @ Jan 21 2015, 11:25 AM) Tips on buying Burberry Black Label and Blue Label. There is one Burberry in Ginza...many floors But I didn't buy from there...instead i went to Takashimaya in Namba, Osaka. Most of the departmental stores have 5% discount voucher for tourists. Just go to the information counter, show your passport and they will give you the vouchers. Takashimaya gave me a Hello Kitty discount card which I was so happy to keep as a souvenir So we bought our black and blue label from there. Purchase apparels, toys + bags above 10001yen (exclude tax) in one or accumulated receipts in one day in one store, can get 6.9% tax refund (1.1% is their handling service fee). On top of that, I get 5% discount on my bags and shoes too Is that Burberry Ginza store still there?? I thought its close already? Most big stores have discount for tourist, like Istean, Takashimaya. Even in Yodobashi, if you pay by union pay or visa you can get discounts. Too bad I am not entitled.

QUOTE(skylinegear @ Jan 23 2015, 09:57 AM) i have a few questions from gotemba premium outlet back to shinjuku 1. Taking Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus one way is 1650yen? or is it include in the hakone free pass? 2. the bus is a direct service? 3. the bus operates every 30mins? (i read somewhere on hakone navi website) 4. taking Romancecar from JR Gotemba station, we need to top up 890yen if i'm not mistaken? 5. which mode of transportation back to shinjuku is better? thanks for the help That bus is direct bus and its not included in Hakone Free pass. As for which is better, really depends when you are going. At one time I was caught in a jam and it was better off that I actually take a train. Others you will have to get it from the web. Every 30mins really depends on the time of the day I think.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 24 2015, 02:20 AM) Guys, once I reach Shibuya from Narita airport, I will meet up my colleague at Roppongi for lunch because our Tokyo office is in Roppongi. I know that Roppongi doesn't have many things to explore and it's considered expensive to shop there. It has beautiful night view but that's at night. Anything that worth for me to visit during day time? If no, I will skip this and go to Imperial Palace. It's a pity that I couldn't get the free tour but I guess that's not a big issue. Then I will find something to walk around that area before going back to Shibuya again to meet my friend for dinner. Probably will explore Harajuku. I will also walk around Shibuya that night and want to witness the famous Shibuya Crossing. I will also visit the statue of the most loyal dog - Hachiko. Is this a good idea? Any suggestion is welcomed, I know I could be really exhausted on that day because I will touch down early in the morning... During day time or even night there is not much to do in Roppongi, besides Asahi and Mori tower. Maybe I have been here too long that everything here feels normal. Since your friend are working in Mori Tower, maybe you can ask him/her to bring you to the top floor for lunch? Nice view and cheap lunch. If weather is good, you get to see Mt Fuji.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jan 26 2015, 04:24 PM) OK, I will ask my colleague. Hehe. Top floor restaurant ya? Thanks! Also, maybe you can ask your colleague to "borrow" an employee card so you can go up for free. That's what I normally do for my visitors.

QUOTE(slushie @ Jan 26 2015, 05:00 PM) hi all, would like to ask how many days are recommended to stay in Osaka? Will be traveling from Tokyo. Also, how much is the train (in RM) from Tokyo? Appreciate your help. Thanks! How much in RM depends very much on the exchange rate, or if you are taking the bullet train or normal trains.

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Jan 27 2015, 10:39 AM) Or just take the Limousine Bus, settled. Buy the Bus + 3 Days Tokyo Sub Combo, save. Bus is the best option for me as well. At least you get to sleep in the bus. If you take a train you might arrived too early and shops are still not open.

QUOTE(alygonecrazy @ Jan 29 2015, 03:51 PM) I'll be going to japan form 30 april - 5 may. Turns out that time is Golden Week. I'm worried about hotels and attraction tickets especially Disneyland on the 4/5. Will the crowd be brutal? Should i book the Disney tickets online and is the fastpass worth it? On 30/4 landing in osaka On 1/5 off to kyoto On 2/5 off to hiroshima On 3/5 take early morning train to tokyo. Shopping in tokyo On 4/5 full day at disneyland On 5/5 half day to kawaguchiko and midnight fly back to KL You sure you want to do that? What you planning to do at each place? Amazing Race?? Travelling already took up so much of your time. You also have to think of shinkansen which will also be pack with travellers. Good Luck
