QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 4 2015, 10:38 AM) The problem is TP can be used to redeem for vouchers and items. To say that TP should not charge GST means they 'selling' you an item and you didn't pay GST on it. Vouchers I agree is unfair as charged GST already. This needs to be sorted out by customs. Then, by-laws, they need to inflate their TP amount for redemption of items, "price shown inclusive GST".

How I Took $195K Worth Of Vacations ... Almost Entirely On Credit Card Points Through my research I learned that racking up credit card points to score free airfare and hotel stays was actually quite easy, thanks to a strategy called “churning.” Put simply, churning is when you apply for multiple credit cards in order to capitalize on their lucrative sign-up incentives, which issuers give you in return for meeting a certain spending requirement. When done right, you can bank hundreds of thousands in rewards points—but there’s a catch. Churning is only a financially sound strategy if you’re able to meet the spending minimums without blowing your budget, and you can pay off your balance in full every month. Otherwise, the interest you’ll pay will overshadow any benefits. http://www.forbes.com/sites/learnvest/2015...it-card-points/

QUOTE(mamamia @ Apr 4 2015, 09:31 AM) By right, bank can only charge us GST on their processing fee or service charge. TP is similar to interest earned on FD placement, how can they charge GST on TreatPoints for redemption of voucher and when we use the voucher also been charged of GST. Those who been charge, shd call to kpnk to check and confirmed. Sound ridiculous. On the spot redeem or with postage? If on the spot they should not charge, if by postage then yes, since postal service is a service

QUOTE(mamamia @ Apr 4 2015, 12:48 PM) Yeah.. Those who have redeem, pls share how they charge n where u redeem. I hate some people just simply says : I got charged. At least make it a clearer picture. Since I got another rm400 gift card to be redeemed. Bought 2 return business class flight tickets last month just to collect enough TPs

If need to charge 6%, mean I can only redeem RM200 vouchers. Sigh..

Just check my total TPS, can only get rm350 Still, this will be the "final" TP redemption before 1st of May. Lucky no more rm50 GST to pay, so is a consolation to us as card holder despite 400TP=rm1:lol:

May i ask if use CC for easy payment plan
E.g. 12 months (RM100) ; total RM 1200.
I had paid for 3 months = RM300 within 20days ( 0% interest )
, but suddenly wanna paid the remaining RM900 in one shot to clear the debts. (can it be done this way)
Sorry new user here. Need pros advice. Point me out if my theory is wrong

I have seek advice from the staff before, some installment plan is need extra charge, better call to inquiry
