Thank you so much for your feedback!
You are saving me alot of time! I guess the pricing is just too good to be true for quality cat food.
If they were to give samples during expo, i would love to smell and take a small piece to try  tongue.gif

protein is most important, cat should only eat animal protein.
tht is the most ideal n luxurious state la of cos..

but for feeders tht go around feeding street cats, only can afford cheapest kibble ..

then cats live with humans for ?? thousands of years, i dont think human give them meat all the time,
so cats have adapted long time ago.. esp street cats..

erm, these are really premium brands and i will not recommend them if you are under tight budget.
As for making your pets vegetarian, I will not suggest it unless it is the normal diet of said animal.

I remembered during the last cat expo there was one booth (forgot the brand name) that was selling human grade cat canned food. They put a small bit on a piece of cracker and let people try. laugh.gif

Like basilisk said, loads of brands for you to smell at the expo. Those new brands usually willing to give free samples while the established brands tend to only give if you buy something from them.

Very sorry to be spamming but I really would love to discuss about cat food with some other owners as I am really alone in this matter.
I also came across this local brand:
https://shopee.com.my/misha.os

Chicken&Tuna 8kg RM53.90 (RM6.73/KG)
WHAT A BARGAIN!

First 5 ingredients
Makanan ikan (Ikan lautan, tuna), makanan laut dehidrasi, serbuk daging (lembu), makanan kacang soya, gluten jagung

Nutrition
P32%  F15% M9% Fib4% C40%

They even have 20kg packaging  brows.gif

I used to feed my cat these 2 brands of dry food:
- Fish 4 Cats
- Meowing Heads

You can click on a product and scroll to the bottom to see their nutrition values. I suppose you can call them mid-range brands but I've never seen any other pet shop sell them besides PLC.

For wet food, I have also fed my cat Natural Balance. I switched to Monge now cos she seemed to have gotten bored with Natural Balance and well, from a personal perspective, it just feels better feeding my cat actual chucks of meat vs minced up canned food. laugh.gif

Yup, seems like only PLC is sole distributor for Meowing Heads.
There's this seller on Shopee selling it too, pretty pricey!

i'm looking at Monge selection now and will be buying a dozen to try.

Kit Cat Atlantic Tuna With Wild Salmon Canned Cat Food 400g

Attached Image

Ingredients:
Fresh Caught Tuna, Water Sufficient For Processing, Geling Agents, Natural Colouring, Wild Salmon Flakes, Taurine, Fructo Oligosaccharide, Essential Vitamin And Minerals

Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein 12.0% (min)
Crude Fat 0.5% (min)
Crude Fiber 1.0% (max)
Moisture 85.0% (max)
Ash 3 .0% (max)
Carbs 1.5%

This is the first time I'm trying out a large can of 400g, meaning, yes, my cats are super happy to be eating more wet food per day.
From what I'm observing, I have, either, 2 glutton cats or 2 very-cincai-eat-anything cats. They also love this can.
The food is also packed in jelly and is SOLID when turned upside down.

Attached Image

After adding 1tablespoon of room temperature water, the meat is easily mushed down into paste.

Attached Image

This food tastes more tuna than salmon and the fishy smell lingers longer than other food tried.

You made the choice for yourself to be vegetarian. I recommend you NOT impose your choice on your animals. They didn't make that choice for themselves.

Apparently, the Delicious and original are made with human grade meat. The small can one. So haha not sure if its true but my cat loves Cindy's recipe wet food. I thought of giving him cindy dry one cause it is made in France and imported and packaged in HK. Wanted to change it from Royal canin cause its kinda expensive and there is mix review on how good RC is. So might try cindy soon

Here is my cat. Follow him on Toshi Kitty

yes, i am aware....and i expect will have response like this...
i didnt force them to become vege like me...i treat them like treating my kid...

from my perspective, all are sentient beings, they maybe in other forms before this life.
from my religious view, they become animal due to their sins, and i will try to help them to not consume animal based food.

cats and dogs are omnivore like human.
i will do testing on them, who knows my cats and dogs can become vege? if they can become vege without affecting their health, why not?
if they cant, i just maintain whatever diet which is good for their health...

but i understand what u trying to tell me, dont worry.

my plan is, for my dogs, once they fully grown, i will switch to fully vege dog food, then maybe in 2-3 days interval, i get steamed chicken/eggs/pig organ/pig blood(in chinese) for them.
but now they not yet 1 year old, now i mixed normal dog food +vege dog food for them, so far they are healthy and run like mad dog when i walk them to nearest padang to run free...

on side note,
being a vegetarian doesnt mean will lose some nutrients, which is wrongly "advertised" by doctors or nutrionist or advertisement or anyone any party that we must consume animal based food or it affects health.

This is one of the most expensive wet food I've ever bought for my kets and I had to buy a pack of 12 to reduce the cost! blink.gif
At RM4.30 per can, this can food has to be the cleanest I've ever seen, I mean, look at that meat! They tastes the cleanest too! and the bits of ginger seems to keep the fishy smell down.

Once scooped out of the can, the meat easily breaks apart as the meat is held together by water.

Attached Image

As usual, this food easily pass the test of my 2kets. Both even lap up all the small bits of ginger!

After picking today's cat poop, I would not recommend this food if you are living w your cat litter box.
The poop smells really strong, stronger than any cat food that I've fed my kets.
However, the poop is of good consistency, not dry, toothpaste like. This could be due to the fact that my kets drink a lot of water.
