Hello. Just took in a cat from the street. Will like to know how much is vaccination and neutering cat in subang? And is there any suggestion of cheap vaccination and neutering service in Selangor?

Will like to know if Happy Cat brand is good? Thanks.

jz be patient, it will take time.  ez for cats less than 1y to get along.

hv u seen cat shelters,  boarding places tht dont cage cats.

all can share places just fine.

need to observe ' bullying ' tho.
*
Ok thanks. So far I dont see any physical attack as all of them are kitten. I think she is scared the new kitten.

I'm one of those who are totally against cutting a cat's whiskers. It had your desired effect because cutting their whiskers makes them disoriented.

AFAIK, introducing a new cat requires time and patience. What some people do is they isolate the new cat away from the existing ones and then slowly introduce the new cat's scent to them. I heard people say it could take a month or more before they can get along, and in some cases they cannot get along at all, in which case you might need to consider giving up the new kitten.
*
Ok noted. I also dont think it does anything other then disorient then for a few hrs.

Ya I'm gonna observe for a few more days and see. But I think the older kittens are just scared ask it took them a month to get used to me since I adopted them. Even now if I make loud noise or sudden movement they will run and hide.

hi guys, i really need some help. i have K for 2 months and adopt M for 8 days. both are kittens.

the first day looks ok. second day both play & chase each other. looks ok

but on 3rd day, K always bite M's neck & ear. M will hissing but no growling & later will find place to hide.

K is a bit rough. she just want to play.

why is they ok on 2nd day but the next day both completely different? can both of them reconcile and play together?
*
I had similar experiences like yours.. First 2 weeks keep on fighting chasing all the time whenever i let them close. Then i tried to introduce their smell to each other (swap their sleeping places) and also let them had meal together.. Then out of nowhere they got along as best buddies already.. It takes some times to do this, the vet told me 2 months should be enough, I'm a bit lucky it took just 2 weeks

For more detail of ingredient used for pet food, you can google. I just roughly explain here.
I dont listen to pet shop/ sales ppl marketing, they will say this food is premium, this is super premium.

Example, screen shot below is from happy cat website.
Happy cat atlantic salmon.

Ingredient list for a product, is listed according to the amount (weight) used.
Look out for the first 5 ingredient.

1. Poultry protein.
This is the new term they use to make it sound better/nicer to consumer. Protein can be obtained from many parts of living things, including hair/ feathers.
Yes wild predator animals eat this, eg cat swallow whole bird / rat, but these are cheap/ by products of food production.
Happy cat atlantict salmon is Not cheap as supermarket brand.

So actual fact this could be just rendered by products.

2. Poultry fat
Again they get it from multi source, which is cheaper.

3. Salmon meal.
Ok. Single source,

4. Rice flour
5. Maize flour
6. Corn.
Maize = corn, both is the same thing. Means corn and more corn.

7. Meat meal.
Unknown source. Meat can be pork, horse, etc etc.
The supplier dont have to tell them what it is.
A very cheap ingredient.

8.Potato flakes
9. Cellulose - fibre
10. Haemoglobin
= blood
11. Beet pulp - fibre

Atlantic Salmon = name of product.
Could be the rice + corn + corn is more than salmon already.

Made in germany? I did not check the packaging to see if they put the address of the company or factory.
Could not find any german address on the website - means it is questionable.

Why hide??

Alot of EU pet food sold here, you will only find ' made in EU ' on the packaging, they dont have to state the country or the address of the factory.
Royal canin is one example.

Could not agree more and great advice. thumbup.gif

Don't just listen to salespersons and always read the label. We hoomans won't eat mashed up food coated in gelatin, why subject our cats to such food also?

Need some advice. I adopted an adult male cat back in March. Have been feeding him dry food from the start but in the last 2 months, I have added 1 feeding of canned/wet food every day.

2 days ago, I noticed that he was sitting in the litter box for a long time. He would return to it a few times and leave no urine. I suspect he may be having blocked urethra. I did find urine in the box in the next morning and he was back to his normal self.

Yesterday, there was urine in the box and he seems ok. He did however pee on my bean bag last night.

1. Is there anything I can feed him as a preventive measure?

2. I heard that treatment can be very expensive. Can some one recommend me a good vet that is not too expensive?

water and more water.

according to studies, recommended ~50-60ml of water per kg per day.

if u measure, it looks alot. yes for a cat is alot, but no choice hv to start increase the water intake.

u can calculate the amount of water in the can food tht you feed per day, and add more if needed.

might need to change the dry food to those tht use more animal base protein if u can afford.

Sounds like UTI. How often do you clean the litter box since dirty litter box can be a reason he got it. Also, always provide a bowl of water.

1. Go to the vet first. They usually will give Himalaya Nefrotec for UTI. EDIT: I think I misunderstood. This is medication, not food.

I'll follow your tip and add some water into his food. Will observe his condition over the next few days and bring him to the vet if it gets worse. Only worry is the bill!

Helo, just adopted a kitten about 2 weeks ago. Currently feeding kibbles by the brand of Wono. Friends recommended Royal Canin kitten. Another recommended Misha. But after reading your post, I'd like to know if there are any better options out there for dry cat food. Any brands you would recommend? Thanks!

wono no good? i hvnt look @ their ingredient list.

actually all depend on your budget.. how much you wana spend? n also the kitten appetite, if choosy type, hard to satisfy.

misha, i think put last in ur list.
cos i saw they use weaved sack to pack the large packs.
that is not a good way to produce pet food.
just wana save cost only. same as power cat.

royal canin food, doesnt use the better ingredient, too expensive, but very popular cos most cat even the fussy ones will eat it. so if kitten is fussy, try rc.

i search wono, they dont even hv a website running, just fb.
so it could be made in usa, but it is not sold in the usa.

probably local/ regional brand, contract factory in usa to produce it. ship food in bulk and repack locally in msia.

how they ship the food in bulk is also a point to consider for those that wana scrutinize the details. cos shipping+ packing increases/reduce cost.
Cincai pack n ship in bulk, will reduce the quality/ contaminate the food.

Imported food tht is sold worldwide is packed in the manufacturing factory. The expensive ones are totally sealed to prevent contamination.

to be cont. cat is wailing...
