wono no good? i hvnt look @ their ingredient list.

actually all depend on your budget.. how much you wana spend? n also the kitten appetite, if choosy type, hard to satisfy.

misha, i think put last in ur list.
cos i saw they use weaved sack to pack the large packs.
that is not a good way to produce pet food.
just wana save cost only. same as power cat.

royal canin food, doesnt use the better ingredient, too expensive, but very popular cos most cat even the fussy ones will eat it. so if kitten is fussy, try rc.

i search wono, they dont even hv a website running, just fb.
so it could be made in usa, but it is not sold in the usa.

probably local/ regional brand, contract factory in usa to produce it. ship food in bulk and repack locally in msia.

how they ship the food in bulk is also a point to consider for those that wana scrutinize the details. cos shipping+ packing increases/reduce cost.
Cincai pack n ship in bulk, will reduce the quality/ contaminate the food.

Imported food tht is sold worldwide is packed in the manufacturing factory. The expensive ones are totally sealed to prevent contamination.

to be cont. cat is wailing...

Ah thanks for the input. So far I have no issues with Wono. Kitten likes it. But I note that there's salt in it. But not the top 5 list. Somewhere at the bottom. I just thought of switching brands once I'm done with wono.

I'm trying to scrutinise the ingredient list now as per your info above.

Oh, what about Instinct by Nature's Variety Original Kitten Grain? The first 5 ingredients seems okay -

Chicken, Turkey Meal, Salmon Meal, Menhaden Fish Meal, Egg Product, Chicken Fat (Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols And Citric Acid), Tapioca, Peas, Chicken Meal, Dried Tomato Pomace, Natural Flavor, Lamb Meal, Montmorillonite Clay, Carrots, Apples, Cranberries, Vitamins (Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate, Niacin Supplement, Thiamine Mononitrate, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Biotin), Taurine, Potassium Chloride, Choline Chloride, Minerals (Zinc Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Copper Proteinate, Manganese Proteinate, Sodium Selenite, Ethylenediamine Dihydriodide), Salt, Freeze Dried Chicken, Freeze Dried Chicken Liver, Pumpkinseeds, Freeze Dried Chicken Heart, Dried Bacillus Coagulans Fermentation Product, Rosemary Extract.

My personal POV is that too much of all these "meals" like chicken meal, turkey meal, fish meal isn't that good either since it's made from byproducts after being processed for human consumption. But having said that, Instinct by Nature's Variety Original Kitten Grain that you shared is grain free which is good.

I'll just share the 2 brands that I used to feed my cat:
Fish 4 Cats
Ingredients: Salmon Meal (33%), Fresh Salmon (22%), Sweet Potato (17%), Cassava (13%), Salmon Oil (8%), Fish Digest (2.5%), Sunflower Oil, Yeast Extract, Malt Extract, Pea Fibre, Dried Algae, Dried Cranberries, Minerals

Meowing Heads
Ingredients: 77%* Salmon, Chicken, Fish & Egg includes – Salmon *(30%), Dried Chicken *(22%), Dried Fish *(13%), White Rice, Potato Starch, Pea Starch, Chicken *(7%), Egg *(5%), Salmon Oil, Oats, Chicken Fat, Vegetable Fibre, Seaweed, Tomato, Carrot, Cranberry, Minerals

If I recall, they both cost around RM70+ for 1.5kg pack. But as basilisk said, it's really about how much budget you can spend on cat food so always read the label and pick what's best within your budget.

according to aafco..

https://www.aafco.org/Consumers/What-is-in-Pet-Food

if it is not stated as by-products, it doesnt contain by-products.

the term 'meal' refers to it being cooked, and grounded to granular form.
so it is a 'dry' ingredient.

happen to pass by plc, so went in to have alook.

saw this small bag of instinct 2.2kg?
thts super expensive.. wow lol..

thing is i noticed on both side of the bags, there r plenty of
small perforation.
this is purposely done during packaging, to release trapped air.

to me, this is totally unacceptable, bcos outside air can easily go inside the bag as well.
for this super expensive priced food.

can accept if its power cat or misha.. but this instinct...
plenty of other brands can do perfect vacuum pack, saw the hk based cindy recipe..

whoaaaa.. thanks for the heads up, will be mindful of this... :/

Anyways, I've decided to try on Carnilove Salmon and Kitten for now. Will be getting the 6kg pack. Probably from there, to slowly upgrade instead of jumping straight to origen/acana. sweat.gif

I don't know anyone with this problem personally but I have found few people on the YouTube who allergic to cat but fostering or owning a cat/kitten. They dealing this by taking medicine. Still I think it's depends on how severe your allergic reaction is. What kind of allergic reaction you get, I'm kinda curious?

In that case, I think it is better to avoid having cat at all. The best way is to get advice from doctor. Some people can suppress their allergic reaction by taking meds everyday. I don't know whether it is good idea for your son to take meds everyday.

When i feed her, her saliva so obvious on the floor.

Maybe feeling itchy on her body, something under the fur bothering her, that's why lick too much until wet. Try groom her using a brush. Maybe can help her relief her from the itchy sensation. One of my boy like this. He is curious boy like to investigate every nook and cranny of the house. Inviting ants or other small animal that bother him.

Do you mean drolling or just wet floor. If the latter that's normal.

cant say it is good or no good..

wht you can do is to find out, what other brands tht is the same price as greens...

:::::::::

ok i jz checked... 8kg greens is rm70 or abit lower...

so this works out to be about rm8.75 / kg..

many other brands around these price..
u wana compare oso pening...

if you belief/trust the ingredient listed, it looks better than many others..
this greens, no state manufacture by who on the pack, i think frm china. only the local importer name on the pack.

can oso compare the smell of the food.. can tell the difference..
