RM25 service charge just to transfer CL within the credit card? shocking.gif
Damn, I feel too ridiculous already.. shakehead.gif

By the way, I just done for the cancellation. Their CB benefit not like previously 2 or 3 years good already...
I still prefer U bank because better CB benefit than this one..

Then the next month will have another bank to cancel.. cool2.gif

Actually the Rm25 in my post refers to the government tax per card imposed from this year.
As the Amanah yearly renewal is next Feb, I cancelled earlier to avaoid paying this

Hi guys, wanna ask how hard is it to cancel HSBC cards? Just got my amanah card but I applied for the free lazada voucher only. It is a really bad card IMO. Plan to cancel it after I got the voucher

I am also thinking this method too to get lazada RM500 voucher....
Ytd when the HSBC staff called me to confirm the cc application, I asked her whether reloading e-wallet can or not, she say reload e-wallet is not eligible transaction shocking.gif
Are you sure reloading BigPay consider eligible transaction? I wish to use this method too.

Read the T&C. If you want to be safe, just do normal spending. You only have 60 days and voucher comes after that. So you won't know until you try.

My experience with HSBC staff wasn't that good. In the end, customer (me) is always wrong.

And I got some cash back from something their Support said I am not eligible. To cut the story short, Support said that I need to spend 2k at only the participating merchants to entitle for the 8% cash back. I beLIEveD them initially, but decided to let their system do what they are programmed to do. My amount was small, so didn't bother much.

Reputable bank, but Support needs a serious overhaul.

You can call them up and check. Still, you need to spend 1k-2k (depending where you applied from) within 60 days before you get the voucher.

I didn't see any extension of that offer, but there is a term that says entitles to 3.88% one time only CIP after getting new card. Maybe can check with CS to double confirm

Yeah, I think the staff should get updated with current trend too (Bigpay, boost), she kind of stun a moment at first when I ask whether reload e-wallet can or not.

I read all the T&C but there is no term mention about types of eligible spending.

Don't have that big amount (1k) to spend so far, even if I have, I still prefer transfer to Bigpay and use BP card to do normal spending. Can get extra Big points wat, haha.

i actually read the term and condition about spending eligibility. NOT stated that top up e wallet is in INELIGIBLE category. In fact top up e wallet either boost / big pay / lazada should consider as online transaction.

u can read it here https://sp.hsbc.com.my/microsites/lazadacb2...zada_2H2018.pdf

well let see what will happen later. but surely at least we can counter back with the cs coz have black and white
