I filled in via their website yesterday and somebody called me for verification this morning. Somehow I already passed the first round approval and hopefully will be approved soon.
I asked for 0% cash installment and also Lazada vouchers but I was told I can only choose one, so I chose for 0% and hopefully my CL is sufficient for max RM 12k. I also asked about the potential management fees incurred with my swipes after I get my cash installment, since that happens to BT. I was assured it will not and it will be no charges. So let's see, not planning to use it for anything except for getting free cash. |

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Aug 29 2017, 10:13 PM) Interested to get free cash too. Yes, I filled in before I left office yesterday, in the evening. I fill in and in the end shown will contact me by email soon. But till today I did not get any email (I fill in yesterday) Need to fill in many info though. Oh my the call is the longest verification call I ever had before. I think the lady also keyed in something during the call and she said "let's see what the system's decision, oh approved". Immediately I got a SMS with link to upload my documents.. A long process. |

QUOTE(yw46 @ Sep 1 2017, 12:04 AM) Funny enough, the only thing which attracts me is the PPL access but I already have too many cards which allow me to do so. Most likely, I will give this a skip. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Sep 1 2017, 03:02 AM) Yeah, quite good looking. Too late for me to ask to change to VS, maybe add a new card once my Amanah Plat is approved. I will still keep it in drawer until I will need it to fly. |

How does HSBC inform users if their application is approved or rejected? Will we be informed if application is rejected? Thanks.

QUOTE(kevyon6 @ Sep 8 2017, 10:12 AM) i just got my hsbc card and it is a visa signature card. I was told by the CS that its free annual fee but now looking at the pamphlet came with the card showing an annual fee of rm600+ applies. They also credited RM12k 0% cash advance to my bank account already. Now after reading this thread, i'm thinking not to activate the card and return the 12k. What a scam. What scam? Not forcing you to pay that AF. First year AF is usually free. Annual Fee 1. What is the annual fee for Visa Signature Credit Card? The annual fee for Visa Signature Credit Cards remains as RM636 per annum (including GST) for Primary cards and RM318 per annum (including GST) for Supplementary cards. Annual fee will be waived if the cardholder(s) swipe the HSBC Visa Signature Credit Card at least once a month for a consecutive 12 months period. |

QUOTE(kevyon6 @ Sep 8 2017, 11:48 AM) From what i read in the pinup in this thread saying having to call to waive the fee even u have swiped 12 times the card really bother me. If i have to call everytime to waive it there is no difference from my existing Citibank card. They should automatically waive it instead of us having to call or beg. Annual Fee1. This excerpt is from their website. If you fulfill, nothing to beg. If they don't waive automatically then complain to BNM. As simple as this. That's my practice. My question is have you been called up to beg? Not yet right? Then, why have this kind of assumption? I can't wait for them to charge me AF if I fulfill the criteria then it gives me a chance to hit them with BNM. Don't mess with some cardholders, like me. I don't give banks easy way to escape and likewise I will not call to beg if I know I cannot fulfill the criteria. For e.g. my MBB VS. This post has been edited by fruitie: Sep 8 2017, 12:01 PM |

QUOTE(kevyon6 @ Sep 8 2017, 12:13 PM) I've not try to call them of course since i've not even activated the card yet but by reading the story from the pinup in this thread, it does make me think twice whether want to go thru the hassle or not, for instance like what you have suggested hit them with BNM. It's not yet even happening and you are worried for something which is yet to happen. This thread is already two years old. |
