2 months later, i got my rm50 retention offer. This is more than offset my service tax due on november.

Mine applied in September but still didn’t get the rm1000. HSBC confirms my name is in the listing but Ringgitplus side haven’t given reward.

I had the same issue. I called the CS and they told me that if you haven't setup either Phone banking PIN or Voice PIN then only the call option will appear. So the CS helped me setup a phone banking PIN and then they activated the Apple Pay for me.

It seems that for the Visa Signature card, pumping petrol or buying snacks at the petrol station no longer earns you credit card points. Ridiculous!
Same with any donations to charities.

As per the jan 2023 update, MCC 5541 and 5542 will not earn any points.

I think we should all complain to HSBC about this. like if all your daily spending cannot earn points, then no need to have this credit card lah.

actually u might be surprised many outside this forum use credit card for reasons other than points. for example, convenience security buy first pay later.

just that ppl in lowyat are more savvy.

correct. i too use it mainly for convenience. but i also want the points la. so the credit card i use is based on the benefits. If the card becomes lousy, might as wel dump it and get another one from a different bank. So many to choose from.

Hi, HSBC platinum visa and master card holder here....wanna check with u guys here, i thought HSBC gives 8 times rewards points for every RM1 spend? My monthly usage say RM10,000 but i get 10000 points plus 4000 bonus points only, instead of 80000 points.

how long does it take for u to get approved? i joined the rm 1000 guaranteed price in december, and nearly 3 weeks since hsbc got my application but still no news and pending till now...its frustrating as other bank is uually just a few days...not sure cause of the volume they get due to the campaign

Took me a couple days. But Ringgitplus sometimes notorious they will just not process your application, maybe they have quota or can see you are a churner

I applied from Ringgitplus on 12/1, then 13/1 call me to submit the document, already told them will submit by 14/1

Then around 5 or 6pm call again ask me when want to submit the document

On 14/1 I submitted all document from the SMS, then upload the document to HSBC website

Then until right now didn't receive any SMS / email from either Ringgitplus or HSBC

they have a lot of caveats and restrictions and caps on the bonus points. See my earlier post above yours with a link to the current T&Cs for the cards
8x bonus points is actually not a lot because of the restrictions.

mine apparently was from hsbc that had delay...as it took HSBC two weeks before they contacted me, and after submission, i called up hsbc they said its pending for approval and can take up to a month...its really long as my other credit card are near immediate...hurry cause need to be approved within 60 days so dont wanna missed that although its probably a bout a mth since i submit via RP, so shall try to call them again in one or two weeks if still no reply.

hsbc's service has been very very poor lately. not sure what is their problem

Does anyone know if HSBC offers any retention bonus for the HSBC Travel Mastercard? My card will be due annual fee soon and wish to cancel as the rewards are much less competitive compared to CIMB Travel card

i had to wait for about 2-3 weeks to actually get the card after pending approval
after upload, hsbc needs time to review
after review --> success --> they will send you a sms to let you know
once card received at the bank, can go take
if new user ; need to go there to register thumb print
else can send to your house

Posted above. I use VS though. Just drop a note to hsbc via chat. Some reported rm25 instead of rm50 that i got.mainly for offset service tax.

Last Friday they called me again, ask me to resubmit the document

No idea why they must ask me to collect the card from the bank, had applied few credit card via online also didn't ask me to go collect the card from the bank
