Damon braces (Self-ligating braces) should around 5k -15k depending on metal/ceramic/gold/lingual etc...
I have asked around for awhile. . and it seems there is a standard price...

Go google search or read this forum to check for the orthondist near your area ...
It is best to look for the one near your area because you need to visit him/her regularly though out the treament period. ..
Set an appointment with the orthondist... He/she should be able to suggest what is the option for your treatment. .. Then only you will know the cost. ..

thanks for ur info..might make an appointment with dr.reuben ..

My sister also has crown. With ceramic crown, have to be very careful. I remember dr reuben use special glue to stick it on, hasn't fallen off yet.

I went to several orthodontist before. But i was happy with Dr reuben's explanation. I had an open bite, and all the other orthodontist says that needs microimplant or surgery, but I don't want, so he says will try something else. I think he used something called MIOW or MEAW (sounds like a cat). It works very well and I am very happy with the result...

I did mine in Whitesmile too and gosh ,I'm very happy with the progress. But i still need microimplant (since i got severe open bite + very gummy smile and refuse to do jaw surgery:)). My open bite nearly close now and i get less gummy smile rclxms.gif yeay. Dr Reuben is so nice too eventhough i've done so many emergency visit tongue.gif (loose bracket, wire, gum infection n etc).

Btw,may I know what is MIOW/MEAW? Is it some kind of appliances?

Let me share with you a story about this type of transfer case. The "victim" is my cousin.

The 1st ortho extracted 4 of her teeth and needs roughly 2 years time to remove the braces. But after one year wearing braces, the ortho stopped the biz and migrate to New Zealand.
The 2nd ortho took over the case and said that 2 teeth need to be extracted somemore from his point of view. And he advised my cousin to wear braces for another 2 years. My cousin was like @$#%##%!
But still, she accepted her fate in the end. She only left with 26 teeth now thumbup.gif Save toothpaste and save time brushing her teeth rclxm9.gif

Sometimes, I think our bracing thingy is more like a piece of artwork to ortho, very subjective to determine good or bad. As long as it lets you gain more self confidence after removing braces, for me it's good enough!

Anyway, no need to worry too much about this! It's just a story......

Frankly speaking, we don't care about her feeling at all hmm.gif

And she herself also doesn't care about how many teeth left now. The main issue is she extended the duration of wearing braces - problem in kissing with bf!

And I don't know why, I just felt a bit awkward to smile or laugh when I was wearing braces. sad.gif

But it is over NOW!!! rclxm9.gif

For my cousin case, she transferred herself to another ortho within the same town, and normally the market price within the same town is compatible, she only tops up around RM 500 ++ for that, package basis with monthly instalment. But the 2nd ortho do requested her to go for new X-ray.

If change from Penang to KL, no comment on it.

Let say if you only need another 6 months to remove braces, why not just bear with the travelling distance a bit? Take AirAsia icon_rolleyes.gif

I dunno, but according to Dr Reuben it helps reduce open bite. It was difficult to clean but it worked!!!!!!!!!. Kind of a lot of loops in the wire. I see a lot of korean people at d clinic sometimes, maybe he is famous with the koreans here???

Ah ic thanks for the info. But i tough i heard the first visit will be the most expensive one where you must pay a few thousand for his service. Then only everymonth you pay a few hundred upon visit? What i wanted to know is if you change ortho half way, will you have to pay the new ortho a few thousand for service or you just continue paying the new ortho a few hundred upon visit? Sry hope you can understant. Bcs i'm not very rich and braces are so expensive cry.gif

Hi Dr, i have both straight teeth for my upper and lower rows or teeth. But 1 flaw is that i have a 2mm gap between my both upper front teeth. How can i fix it? And if i requires braces, must i get for both upper and lower rows or just the upper one will do?

Looking forward for help. Thanks smile.gif

upper removable braces may be good enough...... if not than a fix upper braces will definitely close the gap....

other options will be placing filling material to close the gap, veneer or crown.... but I dun advise these routes.....

Removable braces? is it like a wiring on the teeth?
I also wanna ask, will veneer and crown damage the surface of our own tooth?

Hello. I'm 20 this year and there's crowding in my front teeth. I'm Ok with how my teeth looks now but should I get a retainer to prevent further crowding? How much would it cost?
