The problem is not the wire coming out or too long. Is the bracket cut my inner lip.

yeah, i think it's the bracket..

just when i got used to the cuts, today went to replace the lower wire (guess it's called retightening process). have to start all over again.. and i think dr reuben's too excited to have friends visiting, he forgot to cut the 'extra' wire at the end. nail clipper really can cut it off??

better go to your dentist and cut it out, later you accidentally configure the tightness then the tooth moves not as what the dentist plan then trouble :-)

How much would it cost to align the jaws inwards , for aesthetic purposes? Cos I have a bulging upper set of teeth... And price? Thanks.

you mean align your teeth is it, bcoz if align jaw need surgery, if braces in private clinic may range around 4k, some time some condition can opt for removable appliance of the condition is not very sever and only tilting movement of the teeth needed

Im wondering, ive been reading, and did some research.

Damon seems to be the best brand for bracers with comfort, anyone had damons???

I know its expensive, but anything to reduce pain is always a welcome to burn a hole thru my pocket.

Hi OldKyoo,
I am wearing ceramic self-ligating damon and it cost me close to 8k++. ..
I am not sure if it is relatively comfortable than metal braces but it definately look much better. ..
So far, experience the wire scratches my inner lips (really painful and I hardly want to talk or eat)...
Perhaps it is something normal i guess. ..
Don't worry of the pain.. it is just temporary .. Just focus of having nice smile and healthier teeth after debrace. .. smile.gif

hi, i'm planning to do bracelet on my teeth.

in b4, i did crowning at dental pro bangsar. and for braces, it cost rm7000. seem too expensive for young people like me since there is no monthly installment can be done.

now, i'm at penang. after i made some research, i found this http://www.prestigeortho.com.my/financing.html link.
lucky, the client can pay by monthly installment. any testimoni from this clinic?

Hi, i want to ask, if i do my braces overseas, then i have like 3-6 months to complete the treatment that i have to do in malaysia, will the dentist take my case? is it ok like that? and how will they charge me?

Because my teeth is getting worse with time, i thought i'm ok with it but the upper teeth is protruding more and more i don't know why and braces is quite cheap here, about rm4k all-included (x-ray, extraction, moulding, braces and whatnot) until the end of the treatment. after reading the whole thread i think 4k is cheap, right?

could I know, how long will the pain actually last ehh? So the pain will continue again when they do re-tightening ???

Since I am going to start wearing bracers late (the fact that I was scared of it when I was young), my job seriously needs alot of talking, or at least most of the time.

Hi,

I am planning to improve the looks of my teeth by wearing braces. So can anyone of you LYN forumers introduce any good dentists or othodontic who charge reasonably? I know it isn't cheap, but at least I would like to have quality services over what I've paid for.

Thanks a lot.

I have false teeth, is there by any chance a real tooth be implanted and function like a normal tooth

anyone does orthognathic surgery before? unfortunate my lower jaw is not aligned with my upper jaw. I had already done with my braces but I'm still not happy with it. My dentist did commented on my jaw but he said it's not serious so I don't have to do the surgery. But I'm seriously considering the surgery if it can overall improve my smile.

i'm wearing damon now, but don't know if it's more comfortable than the other methods. but i heard it's more lasting than those rubberband ones.

just when i thought everything's fine (no cuts, no pain), one bracket/wire will cause ulcers again. haiz.... out come the wax (again). dreading the next retightening appt.

as for food, i still don't dare to eat 'hard' food (chicken, vege) coz find it tiring to even chew on a sandwich. so far, only porridge, steamed tofu, fish & soup w rice/noodle.
