Previously was offered with 4.0% without MRTA and 3.90% with MRTA, the banker are good and kind enough to help me to do appeal and final I offer I got are 3.95% biggrin.gif

I see, I heard Islamic when you do withdrawal, you need to physically go to the bank and queue. Only conventional you can do via online thru their app. This is what banker told me, you might need to double check with your banker ya.

Thanks for the heads up, just checked, thankfully can be done online without going through bank. Would be a dealbreaker if so

I wouldn't considering EPF return % is higher than mortgage rate..

Approved loan 3.85% with mrta (not full tenure) for <2mil loan
I guess 3.80% is not doable in any case

Hi, want to ask some questions regarding my housing loan.

Recently I applied for housing loan with Public Islamic Bank, and in the letter of offer (LO) stated that need to take credit card, which is okay for me.
Fast forward, my loan approved and they sent me not one, but two public islamic credit card platinum, one visa and one mastercard.

So my question is, since the LO stated the need for the credit card, I really need to activate the card right? But do I have to activate both of them? Or only one will be sufficient? And what will happen if I didn't activate both of them?

Currently have already signed SPA & Loan Agreement, awaiting the lawyers for stamp duty etc. Loan is not yet disbursed to the developer.

Thanks in advance 😁

Just call them and cancel the card. If you really want, report to BNM cause they cannot force a bundle and send cards unsolicited to you.

I'll be working overseas soon, but still on the lookout for properties in Malaysia. Any challenges in getting a loan while getting income outside of Malaysia?

The LO will state the T&C (must apply for cc). Once you accepted the loan offer by signing the LO, it means they're not forcing you.

Just need to call them to cancel the card without activating it.

Just remember this:-
MRTA follow loan;
MLTA follow person.
