QUOTE(-vip3rleon9- @ Jan 1 2007, 09:11 PM) ok. i just found out that my mobo only allows me to locate 2.85V max to my rams. No worries, just set it to 2.85v then. Now just set it to the highest speed the ram can handle first, then lower your cpu multiplier. We use 8x ok ? Then put it 200mhz, 2.5-3-3-7 and burn in the rams at 2.85v for 1 day.tried both 2.5-3-3-8 and 3-3-3-8 and both stil won't allow my pc to boot Windows properly. the seller of the DT-D43's, a friend of mine, said he managed to OC it till about 270mhz. but i forgot what proc he was on, would be 775. |

guys...this is really drove me crazy...
i'm actually on A64 3000+ and overclocked to 2.88GHz (320x9@stock vCORE) with Team eXtreme PC4800 (3-4-4-8@2.8vDIMM), until last monday, i encountered weird things...it seems like my RAM can't do @DDR640 anymore, even i increase the vDIMM to 2.90vDIMM, same, it's BSOD...suspecting my PSU (i'm using Enermax FMA 350W), i unplugged all bling items, secondary HDD, ODD, Sound Card too...same BSOD on windows loading, sometimes after 5 minutes logon to windows..., had a thought it might be cause of my overclocking madness, i decrease the RAM speed to stock (200x9), even worse, it won't boot. lucky for me, my brother swapped his RAM (Kingston HyperX PC3200 -- i believe it's CH-5) while mine is in my bro's rig for testing...it is amaze me, my RAM is rock stable, can run at DDR600, play with timing or watsoever...while mine on Kingston HyperX, yeah maybe due to limitation of the RAM, i can't go further than DDR450. this is confusing me, why my Team eXtreme can't go at DDR620 on my PC but it ran rock stable at DDR600 in my bro's PC? |

QUOTE(Mcrae @ Jan 11 2007, 02:00 PM) yeah...come to think about that as my siggy said so...FYI, i've been running on 350W FMA since day 1 after used PowerLogic Atrix 500T which is totally f**ked up my rig 10 months ago...from my POV, i think, as for now, 450W~550W is good... |
