hi just want to ask any one buying this keycap ?
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/max-keyboard-keycap-set
*
what's nice about it?
I guess it's meant for backlit but then again I think it will be too bright isn't it?
Aesthetically, it doesn't really look pleasing sweat.gif
I've somewhat grown to like the underglow of leds instead of them shining through the cap. laugh.gif

Well iirc the ducky zero is only available in blue, brown and red. I'm currently partial towards brown since many said it feels between blue and red.

oyaji-san, while many reviews do mention that brown is in between blue and red, it is quite true in some sense seeing that the choice of popular and common switch available in the market are just blue, brown, red and black. after testing them, it can be a bit misleading for ppl who have not tried it before.
assuming mx blue is 100% tactile and mx red is 0% tactile, i would rate mx brown as 30% tactile and original unlubed mx clear 110%.

again, this is according to my taste and preference and feel which is a very subjective matter as everyone has different opinion about it.
best way to know what you would like is really, to test it out with your own fingers.

I have to pay a visit to heavyarm to see and test those keyboards. In the meantime I just visit lowyat to keep testing whatever mechanical keyboard on display.

Btw, are those rosewill rk9k still available? I heard they are made by the same company that makes filco. How does it compare to ducky zero?

people here will not recommend any of those boards, instead, they will recommend brands like ducky/filco or even cm storm.

As for the reason why gaming keyboard are not welcomed here, you can go a few pages back and see the reason. There are lots of people asking and sifu's here already explain why.

Hmm, if you want some keyboard from gaming brand, then those two are perfectly fine. Else, if you just want some keyboard which has colorful leds, can consider ducky shine series.

Eventhough ducky doesn't have the multi color lcd, but you can get a keyboard with white led and install some led cover on the led which will make it emit a color.

Something like this. http://www.banggood.com/DayDream-LED-Cover...t-p-925839.html

by the way, anyone flipped the spacebar key with cherry stabilizers on?

I've tried flipping it and i kinda like the flipped spacebar but it felt very very mushy for some reason. I found out that people who thought the spacebar are too mushy will mod their stabilizer so that it will not be mushy anymore.

Anyone tried this mod before?

Also, how do I know whether my keyboard is plate mounted or pcb mounted? My keyboard is ducky g2 pro 9087 tkl. I think it is a plate mounted but not too sure. Can I know without opening up the keyboard? If mine is plated mounted, does it mean that I can swap my stems and springs without desoldering?

Most probably plate mounted. If you remove your keycap you see a plate its plate mounted. If you see a PCB its pcb mounted. Only PCB mounted switches allows swapping stems and spring without desoldering. You'll have to desolder if it's a plate mounted. (Of course unless you have a custom plate with cutouts that allows switch opening)

Most of the keyboards nowadays are plate mounted.

I believe most people that owns a custom cherry stabs board will clip the stabs before installing them. I clipped mine but i still find it quite mushy for my liking i still prefer costar stabs but thats just me.

Plate mounted. Only very few brands have PCB mounted. Most commercial plate-mounts can't swap easily.

Octagon. Nice. But looks too square for me, hence my holding back from buying. Still prefer Leopold-like structure for my 60+ MKB.
