Guys I've never been to SG so I need help with my travel plans.

I need to find a way to get to International Business Park. I believe the nearest MRT to IBP is Jurong East but I still need to take a 10 mins cab ride or walk for 30mins.

Any suggestion?

Just walk. Too near the cab may not want to take you

I have only tried DBS Remit. No charges. Xfer in the morning (before 11am), get the funds in HSBC by evening.

Alight at Jurong East MRT, walk to IBP. If rain take bus, there are few buses from Jurong East MRT that stops outside of IBP.
Alternative take IBP's shuttle bus, schedule and bus fare here: IBP Shuttle Bus Service

My company shifted out from IBP 5 years ago. smile.gif

Don't need to take any bus. From Lakeside MRT take the same MRT to Raffles Place MRT, from Raffles Place MRT walk the underground passage to Raffles Quay.

Hi,
I have just got a job in singapore and my EP is underway.

I am new to Singapore and have a few questions:
If bring in these things to Singapore, do we have problem with Singapore custom? (Do they need us to pay tax, etc?)
-LCD monitor
-desktop computer
-speaker
-power extension
-table lamp

Which bank account that anyone of you can recommend?

Thanks for the reply.

laugh.gif honestly all you need is an iPad... don't need a whole PC setup here.
For bank account: DBS/POSB is a must... local bank, prepare S$500 to open an account.

ya, that is right.
Gaming is one consideration also. (I hope there is still time for gaming. )

Just that it will be a waste if I won't be able to bring them to Sg and utilize these. Have to buy new one.

hi all,

I will be having my intern during March - June 2016 , and after intern I'll be graduated
anyone have experience on doing internship in SG? plan to continue working in the same company after intern..

another thing I want to ask is I'm 26 this year, will it be more difficult for me to get a job in SG? I applied leave to stop my studies and went to work (part time promoter / sales / event planner), after that continue back my studies, am I considered as having working experience?

Need some guidance and advice from all the lengzais lengluis here ^^
Thanks.

there are so many undergrads in Singapore, why companies want to take in foreign interns?

say if I am an IT firm interviewing an IT graduate, your previous jobs as a promoter/cashier do not interest me at all. Honestly it is not that easy to secure a job in Singapore as a fresh grad, you can try but it is better to gain a few years working experience in MY.
