I really dont see how moving down to SG is spoiling her, it's not like it is a bad career move for you
If you were Singaporean and you move to Malaysia for your sister....then maybe it is haha
I'd say go for it, I wish I'm moving down with someone close but unfortunately not the case, it's a good thing to move with your sister

You said she SPM? Come here for poly? Don't think uni here accept SPM even if full As.
Seems like most of the people here don't support the idea of babysitting your sister through degree. Most of them came here alone to start from scratch, so they are more independent type. Nothing wrong for them to think those who can't stand on their own are less capable. Someday you just have to let her walk alone though, you can watch beside but can't help her in every other thing. I am the youngest, so I am the most spoil, and the one that achieve the least, both academically and professionally. I blame it partially on my brother and sister

SG is quite safe for a student to do her study, I done mine here. You can hardly have a chance to get mug, access to drug, and stick with wrong group of friends if you are in the public uni. Those who got in are not those rich and useless kids. She would have close friends in school that would help each other in daily life. You should go enjoy your life too. Anyway, anything urgent happen 999 and 994 would reach her faster than you would even you are in SG, they are very efficient. You can just fly here in few hours if something happen, plenty of flights from KL to SG every hour.
Good luck to your job application and hers too

If you have worked in Pwc KL for some time, chances are you will find a fair bit of your ex-colleagues in Pwc that made the move down, perhaps you could try asking around. I have seen many mid-joiners who came in from Pwc KL, so I am fairly confident you shouldn't have a hard time finding them. Catching the right timing will be important too, bonus and promotion is around July-September depending on which firm, so usually the recruitment will increase to replace those who leaves after the bonus.
Just to add this in, like what beancountz mentioned, the hours here are horrible (though i heard it is getting better, not sure how true is that). I have seen my fair share of those mid-joiners who quit within a year after they made it here, the fastest one I remember was within 1 month after coming down from KL as a senior.
Thank you for your support and advice. I do have some of my friends in SG. But somehow when i asked them, they only replied, apply through website. Because that's how they do it. Maybe they're just reluctant to help or too busy to help. I dont blame them. I do think its gonna be a good career move too to be working in sg. Hopefully can join you guys there!
