yup.. my fren already "survey" the market pay offered by small firms.. the most that he can get is RM1.6k only..

as im not confident to pass all my papers in June 2008, i have changed my mind to work in small or medium firm first.. rather than working in Big4..

dun have confident that i can go into p.. i heard that P is very strict in their requirements.. in terms of education results and so on.. hehe.. duno whether true anot la..lolz

I am working in P, it is alright la not to say super strict as well. You can always send in your resume to try your luck. Don't worry so much smile.gif.

On the part where someone mention exposure and career advancement wise medium firm is much better than Big4, I personally don't feel it is that way. Yes you will be expose to everything once you join medium firm, however do bare in mind that when you are doing assurance services it is the methodology which is very important and not just getting the job done. Big4s have more established methodology in term of assurance services and there is where you can learn more compare to medium firm.

Beside that, majority of the biggest PLC(Public listed companies) are clients of Big4. You get alot of exposure to such big companies and many people actually ventured into their client companies after working with Big4 for a few years.

*
1st Experience Program is a 3 weeks training programs where they send you for all sort of training needed by your job scope. It started with 2 days 1 night trip in Avillion Port Dickson or Guoman Resort Port Dickson. tongue.gif The program is quite fun since it includes alot of fine dining and such too.

are kpmg's, ey's and pwc's IT consulting managed by other companies?
*
Not too sure about EY and KPMG. But PwC IT consulting is not managed by other companies. It is basically seperated into 2 division which is Risks Assurance Services that is more towards IT consulting and System and Process Assurance which is more towards IT audit for the purpose of audit support. As far as I know, both the departments are still hiring. Hope this info help

Definately NO

I have worked in EY Msia and currently in KPMG Sg.

They have their own IT Auditors/Consultant.

RAS- EY (I think)
IRM - KPMG
*
I thought it should be
TSRS = EY
IRM = KPMG
SPA/ RAS = PwC
ERS = Deloitte

Rubbish. Minimum bonus is ZERO.
Average performers get 1.5-2 months.
*
Rubbish. Those ppl who get ZERO bonus are people who performed at the worse 10% of PwC. The bonus range was from 2 months (average performer) to 5 months (Top 10% of the firm). A few exceptional cases people was given 6 months.

Well, am I wrong to say minimum is still zero, then?
*
Well technically speaking minimum was still zero, but you have to know any company which is performance based will have ppl getting zero bonus since they are not performing. And minimum for average performer was definately 2 or above which you probably have gave a wrong indication and impression to the readers.
