i wouldn't suggest cheap amp, cos i've gone thru quite a few cheap amps. Unless u juz wan it loud and dun care about the sound quality, then i think there's a lot of selection.
Standard SETUP.., Look @ this b4 u plan to setup ICE

QUOTE(one0202 @ Jun 12 2008, 06:27 PM) another question....... bro.. 4 x 50W isn't reli what u think it is.. it's rated @ peak so it ain't true.. they r onli providing roughly 26rms W.. that is juz enuff to provide each stock car speakers (tat is u haf 4 pairs).. if u haf pre-out from ur HU, u can add a 4 channel amp that is sufficient to power a pair of component n a woofer..how to choose correct Watt?? let say, my HU support 200watt (4x50watt).... so, how many watt must i choose for my component set??? can it support component set with 200 watt??? let say i dont want to use any amp yet(low budget maaa)........... RM200? installation will use around RM50 n left wif RM150, what do u think u can get along wif? |

QUOTE(ckmoy007 @ Jun 13 2008, 12:32 AM) i would say not to get any amp then. it would be worse than ur current bose system. But if u can afford rx-8, why not a mid end ICE. Unless u r boasting la. if ur using stock speaker, no need to get an amp
If ur on budget, get a component tats driveable by HU, then later on only add amp If u got money, get matching component and amp together... doing this u can save cost of installation and time... Cheers |

in most cases u need an amp, except if u use an active sub, it's a sub with built in amp.

I'm using Pioneer DEH1550 with just one Rear RCA pre-output.
Should i invest in cheap pre-amp or cheap electronic x-over? Which is better? Once i use this pre-amp/electronic x-over, do still need to fiddle my Pioneer EQ setting? |
