If use 2 unit of amplifier can use fading? Cause i heard some people said that, use 2 amplifier can use fading. If really cannot, then i might getting a electronic crossover with sub volume control. Preamp don't have sub volume control rght?

no need to complicate the whole scenario, just get a Hu with 3 pre-out, one for front speakers,one for rear speakers and one for subwoofer. Then u can control the subwoofer from your HU. smile.gif

hey guys I'm using a 4-way speakers so is it necessary to have amp?
I'm currently using OEM setup, 2 panels on door & 2 rear speakers (the 4-way is going to replace these).
My HU is Waja Clarion HU, so if amp needed would 2 channel suffice the setup? not planning install subwoofer though.

if you feel the sound loud and clear enough then no need amp lar. if you want the low bass sound the you can get a 2 channel amp for powering the sub only.

you can also power 4 speaker with 2 channel amp, but you cant adjust the volume between front and back speaker. this is how to do it: from amp left positive to front left speaker positive, then same speaker negative to back left speaker positive, then back speaker negative to amp left negative. this way you produce 8omh, which sounds lower but better than 2 speaker joint to same positive and negative, which result in 2omh for the amp, chapalang amp sure cannot tahan one.

Thankz for the nice info. Now need to check my woofer type since I need to get a new amp for it. My cap ayam amp look like cannot blast the amp eventhough it show max power 800W (same as needed by my woofer). Still got confuse with the 2 channel amp and mono block.

Will find out which amp suit my woofer, if branded woofer cost in the range of RM500-RM1k for 800W, is that normal?

look for power handling rather than peak power.. it's easier for u to aim for the amp.. n not the forget if it's Dual Voice Coil n the impedance; 4ohm, 8 ohm o 2ohm..

woofer o amp selected wrongly may result something bad smile.gif

look for de power rated wif RMS measurement...

those 800W is @ peak.. rm2000+ amp can onli get 150rms x 4... so if an amp that is onli rm600 can get 800W.. wondering how possible is that...

this is a simple differentiation n not accurate at all 1... juz a simple reference.. smile.gif

Added on December 14, 2007, 11:51 am2-channel amp normally r stable at 1 ohm...

monoblock amp is at 2 ohm...

(*doesn't apply to all amp)

this is what normally happens.. so if u would to get an amp, plz make sure the specification written 2-ohm stable o 1-ohm stable..

this ohm thingy, u need 2 refer back to ur woofer's impedance

Currently my setup is :

HU - Pre amp - Amp - Speaker

HU = stock Kenari
Pre amp = unknown brand
Amp = unknow brand
Speaker = unknown brand

Isn't sound good if we take out the preamp?
