fren...

it's either RCA o speaker cable.. if it is speaker cable then it is for speaker.. and RCA is used between the crossover, amp and HU smile.gif

your perception of fade is correct.. but the reason y it isn't working is bcz u've set up the amplifier wrongly.. is it ur idea 2 setup the system (the channel thing) urself o is it the installer d0es it? n if i'm n0t wr0ng.. u r listening ur audio in mono rather than stereo..

yes.. he is correct about bridging 2 channel into 1 channel is more powerful.. n this purpose onli serves to whack the woofers.. o from 4 channel to 2 channel 2 power the speakers..

u better check what is the setup first.. cz i thought u said it is bridged to 1 channel for the front speakers.. n also the HU.. by having the model number will let u know how many preout u haf..

n what do u mean wif "rear speaker bridge for woofer".. i don understand at all..

look for power handling rather than peak power.. it's easier for u to aim for the amp.. n not the forget if it's Dual Voice Coil n the impedance; 4ohm, 8 ohm o 2ohm..

woofer o amp selected wrongly may result something bad smile.gif

look for de power rated wif RMS measurement...

those 800W is @ peak.. rm2000+ amp can onli get 150rms x 4... so if an amp that is onli rm600 can get 800W.. wondering how possible is that...

this is a simple differentiation n not accurate at all 1... juz a simple reference.. smile.gif

Added on December 14, 2007, 11:51 am2-channel amp normally r stable at 1 ohm...

monoblock amp is at 2 ohm...

(*doesn't apply to all amp)

this is what normally happens.. so if u would to get an amp, plz make sure the specification written 2-ohm stable o 1-ohm stable..

this ohm thingy, u need 2 refer back to ur woofer's impedance

another question.......
how to choose correct Watt??
let say, my HU support 200watt (4x50watt)....
so, how many watt must i choose for my component set???
can it support component set with 200 watt???
let say i dont want to use any amp yet(low budget maaa)...........
*
bro.. 4 x 50W isn't reli what u think it is.. it's rated @ peak so it ain't true.. they r onli providing roughly 26rms W.. that is juz enuff to provide each stock car speakers (tat is u haf 4 pairs).. if u haf pre-out from ur HU, u can add a 4 channel amp that is sufficient to power a pair of component n a woofer..

RM200? installation will use around RM50 n left wif RM150, what do u think u can get along wif? smile.gif walk around, survey around n c what u can get lar.. i'm not sure whats de market like, nowadayz.. smile.gif

okay.. i'm kinda noob here.. jsut say from a stock speakers.. all i have to do.. is to buy a 4 channel amp... 1 woofer and 2 speakers right?? for a standard one??
*
all of them r standard.. depends on ur budget.. normally ppl don use stock spks wif amp.. if u wanna keep ur budget low, add on a monoblock/2channel amp to power de woofer but de bass will cover all de vocals+music.. and that depends on what stock head unit u haf there..

for sure u put de woofer @ de back boot place..

get de hi to low converter (if u want, i still haf it tongue.gif).. use four channel to power both speakers n ur woofer.. then later de installer will ask u change this n tat.. so tat depends on u edi.. mostly also HU n front speakers..

bro...

no 2 here can guarantee items sold by forummer is ori... so as the forummer here also it won't if it's ori o not.. if u reli reli reli interested to get a good n ori pair, highly suggest u go to a reputable ICE shop... they are experienced and by juz touching de cone, they'll know...

fyi, there are a few brands which is localized produced good SQ speakers... they sound better than those entry level branded stuff and some even get good comment for ICE competition... but the onli problem that u may face is that u can't accept the brand and also de design... juz like me.. hahaha biggrin.gif

i was choosing between this brand named (new)PEGASUS and (used)DYNAUDIO... PEGASUS has better quality interms of sound and DYNAUDIO was so so bcz lack of mid bass.. in de end, i choose DYNAUDIO bcz the name of DYNAUDIO which i dream since i was in high school... hahaha biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

u can put the pairs of component... but scared ur 2 channel amp tak power...

so better get a 4 channel amp to handle 2 sets of components...

if ur rear speakers aren't power hungry and still u want some sound for the rear passengers, u may wanna think to power it ur headunit..

bridging is not a good thing thou overwhelming power means more control of the speakers.. bear in mind that after bridging, ur THD will go up.. (THD=total harmonic distortion) then u may loss sound quality..

Hi all sifus in LYN, need some advice on you guys.

My Subaru XV HU just went dead, no power at all. So i think its time for an upgrade.
Any brand of spreaker/hu/amp and good reputation shop can recommend?

Here's some of my requirement.
1. New 2din HU
2. Maybe new set of speakers/tweeters?
3. Maybe some amps?
4. Maybe underseat subs?
5. Looking for Sound Quality and not SPL

Thanks all.
