OSB: How is it that amp 2 will have enuf power?
When you say each VC needs 200w and amp 2 only gives out 125w to each VC?
Help me understand.

Do these stuff mix well together?

Generally Factory stated 200w is the max power handling... so 125w just less 75w or 5/8 pwr rate.or 62.5% where it within optimal zone (>60%-<80%) pwr required, >40%-<60% save zone & >90%->100% fall under danger zone.... In SQ, we are looking at soft & wide bass without left out deep & dynamic where the bass can easily blend together with mid bass/range... Harder/thumping bass would't give U sound musical at all & deep/dynamic doesn't mean harder/thumping & loud bass..

amp 1 will be enuff power (500W@2ohm) for either sub 1 (400W rms) or sub 2 (250W rms each).

go for amp 1 with sub 1 lah.....

OSB: He stated that the sub is 400w rms, not max.
so it should be each VC 200w rms.

International standard practice, use max power handling to inform people from over power... especially in US, everything can sue, claim coz factory not stated properly. Big name like JL Audio also use it..

actually the manufacture rated power are the power that the sub will be working efficiently. If going for SPL, amp power more than sub is a need, but if daily usage, minus 30% is ok. Depend on how you want the sub to work then select the amp will be more practical. if use really low power to feed the sub, might as well buy a cheaper sub....

400RMS sub will work as it is from 250-500 rms..anything below or exceed this range will kill the sub if you use it hard.

the RMS rating is the recommendation. Not a must to follow 100%. +-30% is safe :>

and for a sub to work nicely for lower freq below 50hz, u need at least 80% of the recommended power. the lower you gonna fetch, the more power you need. Underpowered sub tend to sound punchy while overpowered sub tend to sound boomy.

haha ive already think sum1 might said like that.got frens of mine last time setup 2k ICE can on par with 6k setup.coz im not familiar with ICe thats y askin u all.coz heard if bought good hardwares but not excelent tuning then no good la rite?myb i can minimize the scope for mid level setup?possible?or still need budget also?
