noobie here, got a gen-2 cps, not planning to change the blaupunkt HU, any setup to recommend? budget about 1.5k

Chief, taking on the above suggestion, i really wanted a sub but donot want to sacrifice the boots and the slimmer sub amp is not able to fit under the car seat. current stock,

Sedan 4 door car.
Rear - 2 6x9 3 way speakers
Front - mid range and separate tweeter
amp - 4 channel

I feel like replacing 6x9 with woofer and pehaps installed 2 tweeter at the back, else ppl sitting at the back will hear boom boom only, unless I can play with the Fader. Anyone installed such set-up.

I saw this slim one but the woofer some famous brand comes to 1K over liao... I currently have 4 channel amp, and was told if get one of these woofer, still need to get one more monoblock something amp, total 2 amp in my car and this boom box ! thats why have leave it as it is. overall my finding still lead me to at least 1-1.3K, be it tube woofer with amp build in or woofer box with separate amp. those under the seat woofer/amp(of course not as powerful lah..) is going for rm500-600 range, more to my budget but sadly none seems to fit.

For SQ setup is usually about using good quality product with minimal distortion and natural sounding package. Many purist even do away without rear channel at all, and SQ I think never uses coaxial at all as coaxial is for economical use. If going for SQ, if I'm not mistaken mostly use active setup whereby each speaker of the component is driven individually by each amp channel and use active cross over connection, as opposed to passive. Sub also normally don't use bridge connection since bridge gives more power at the expense of distortion, so usually driven by a real mono amp. So it's like channel 1 & 2 drives the tweeter then channel 3 & 4 drives the mid, all for front only. Then got one mono amp just for the sub, and not use rear speakers at all.

I'm nowhere near any expert on this and my ears are just very normal and insensitive like regular people but your kind of setup I think is just a normal economical setup, not SQ or SPL. Experts like Howiechoo should be able to explain more on this.
