if u want sq, then save up some more money, get some good component speakers for the front budget at least 800, run without amp first.

then save up for a 4ch amp, budget at least 800 also

rear speaker no need. buy a subwoofer, budget around 500 and connect to the 4ch amp.

i already equipped my car with 4 ch amps...
2ch goes to component set....the other 2 ch goes to to the sub....
but i think i want to replace the rear stock speaker with that smaller than 6x9 because i dont want to cut the chassis in order for the speaker to fit in..
what type of amps is recommended for this setup...
mono amp or 2 ch amp for my rear speaker...
if mono amp...i wanna connect the sub to it and use the 2ch from my 4 amps to the rear speaker...
which is better ?

hi guys (sifus here2)

im a total noob in ICE... need help from you guys now... i've read all the way from page 1, but there are a lot of terms i still dont know... huhu...

my current setting is
HU - PIONEER DEH-5050UB
Speaker (front n rear) - stock speaker
tweeter - soundstream which is not clear at all, but still better than nothing
subwoofer - cap ayam
amp - cap ayam

recently, i just realize that my sub does not working anymore...

so, im planning to change all of it, stage by stage...

my 1st stage will be changing the wiring, sub n amp...

what should i get...? i prefer SQ, and if possible, i dont want people outside hear what i hear inside...

so, a component are pairs of woofer, tweeter n x-over right...? what is that x-over or electronic x-over...?
and what is a 2 or 3-way speaker then...? which is better...?

my car is viva... budget +- rm 1.5k...

btw, what is active n passive system...?

thx in advance... ^^

edit: what is RCA guys...? it mention that my HU have 3 RCA... n what is the use of cross over btw...?

get a 4ch amp, a front component set ( no need to use your ss tweeter) and sub.

xover in comp set is passive, not electronic xover. passive comes between amp & speakers. elec. xover comes in between HU and amp.

3 way component is better, but much more expensive, plus u need a very powerful amp.

active system is when u dont use any passives. all speakers have their own amp. so if u have 3 way system (tweeter, mids & sub) u will have 5 or 6 amp channels. if 4 way (tweet, mid, midbass, sub) u need 7 or 8 channels.

rca is the signal cable that goes from HU to amp, or if u have any elec. xover in between, also uses RCA cables.

xover is used to separate the frequencies to the correct speaker. high frequencies go to tweeter, midrange go to mids, and lows go to sub
