Hi every one sorry to trouble everyone ere but i just came across this wiring diagram and i dont quite understand how te bit highlighted in the red box works. From what i can see there are two channels going into one amp. The Front and Rear speakers. Is there a speacial type of name for this kind of amp that can do this? I thought most smps have only one channel in?
My set up is going to be exactly like this but with two sub-woofers. Attached thumbnail(s) |

2 RCA (1 red & 1 white) = 2 channel on the amp output (2 +ve and 2 -ve).
while on mono amp, most of them combine the information on both white and red RCA into 1 output, so there's onli 1 +ve and 1 -ve on the output terminals of most mono amps(same have 2 +ve and 2 -ve depending on the topography of the amp). most 4ch amps, will have 4 inputs (2 red and 2 white RCA), which result in 4 +ve and 4-ve in the output terminals as they dun combine the signal like a mono amp does. |

this diagram is ok. dun see anything wrong. as for sub, u gotta match with amp. refer to the 1st page of this thread for wiring examples. dvc and svc doesn't really matter, if ur amp can onli go down to 2ohms, then 2 pcs of svc 4ohms wired to 2 ohm will be the best option. of course, u have to match ther power too, u can't be using a 500w rms @ 2ohm amp to power 2 500wrms subs, rite? cos this way, the subs will be getting onli 250w each.

there's something we call Y-cables, which splits the signal into 2. google for more info.

just get 1 comp set will do, leave the rear for the HU to power. then u will have enuf amplification channels. Y cable split ur signal into 2, how the SQ changes varies in different system.

Now I using alpine HU with 2 pre-out, 1 for 2 channel amp to play the front component set and another 1 for monoblock to play subwoofer. all sound settings is nice for me now just the subwoofer is abit low although the HU subwoofer setting is max, should i adjust the gain level on the monoblock to get louder? adjusting the gain level will spoil the sq?

it's all down to tuning. not sure if any of ur HU mentioned got crossover, u can check their spec. bear in mind, if ur sub is too powerful, u might not enjoy ur setup cos of overwhelming bass dat 'cover' the sound of ur comp. dats why gain matching is important in SQ setup.

the sub will not feel the same in aeroback compared in sedan. but u can alwez remove the rear speakers and there will be 2 holes for the bass to come in, dats wat i did for my car. u can alwez adjust the gain on ur amp to ur liking.
