Helo,
This is my first time posting in the thread and im desperatly seeking some help on my ICE system. Soon im going to get a satria neo and after seeing how the stock ICE system works i am 100% going to change it. Im looking for a loud and clear/crisp sound, clear/crisp is a priority but i also want it to be loud which is why im planning on two woofers. I also want it to be surround but im not sure if surround may affect the music sound.

Basicly im looking for advice on how the system will fit togeather. i.e. amps, x-overs.

I want to be able to adjust the fade and ballance so if im not mistaken i would need a HU with 3 pre outs? One for component speakers+tweeters, one for the mid bass and one for the woofers but what about the centre? <-not sure if that is the correct name for the type of speaker.

If anyone can tell me if this system is feasable or if i over looked something please tell me any input would be greatly appreciated

BTW i want to be able to watch DVDs aswell so im planning on a Pioneer xxx-xxxxxDVD model, single Din.

(i have attached a diagram of the setup, so far just the speakers)

please please please help me:D:D thanksssssss

first of all, can ur player support 5.1? if yes, how many RCA outputs are there? if there's a output for centre then u can install a 5.1 system. can ur HU play active? if u wan us to recommend which comp or amp to get, u gotta tell us ur budget and music preference, too.
btw, i'm selling a set of used Boston Acoustics SL60, pm me if u r interested.

i dont actually have the HU yet but i think that if i can find a system that can handle this configuration the sound would be very nice if im not mistaken? perhaps the cenre is a bit over the top i probibly wont include that. im going to buy the HU based on the confuguration of my speakers.

the budget isnt really a problem, im looking for at the least a mid-end system. i dont have much experience with this so basicly i want to know if the configuration would be good for the SQ and then i will find the appropriate products to power it.

my music will be the kind of things u hear on hitz.fm and techno/club/trance music so il need a big bass and also the ability for really high pitched sounds i think?

oooo i c
ok i understand now better about the set up. But if i wanted to power the sound diagrap that i posted above then what kind of features/outputs would i need to ask for? i want good SQ but at the same time a Single Din (to save space) HU with a screen that comes out so i can also watch dvd. The dvd player is only for occasional use and to display the reversing camera so it has to have a screen with RCA input.

i think that it much have 3 pre outs?
1. For the front component
2. For the mid-bass
3. For the woofers

This way i will be able to controll fading/balancing rite?

ah ok that sounds like a good plan thanks. just one question though if my budget isnt big enough to cover all that what would it sound like if i skipped the speakers in section "2" in the diagram? if i use a processor whats the advantage of that? then my HU only need one pre-out if using processor correct? but isnt it easier if i get a HU with 3 pre-out alredy? then can adjust the settings straight from the HU?

Hi every one sorry to trouble everyone ere but i just came across this wiring diagram and i dont quite understand how te bit highlighted in the red box works. From what i can see there are two channels going into one amp. The Front and Rear speakers. Is there a speacial type of name for this kind of amp that can do this? I thought most smps have only one channel in?

My set up is going to be exactly like this but with two sub-woofers.

o wow, i always thought that amps had only one input but many output. can u tell me if this diagram would work? its a component speaker set for the front.

and for my type of music, im thinking DVC or SVC and wired in series or paralell? i want a total of 2 subs.
