Guys, how long did your battery last? Mine will be 2 years in May. Mileage close to 20k. Battery still seems ok.
*
Some older threads suggest the battery lasting up to 80k+ mileage, and still running fine.
Average battery life for a new car is ~3 years.

A few users suggests to top up the liquid, although it it maintenance free.

Battery life depends on how it is used. Most important is to give it a good charge every 6 months, this can prevent sulphate build up that can slowly degrade and kill the battery. One way, is to take the car for long distance drive. Another way is to charge it manually.

Sulphate build up can happen in all wet cell acid battery.

Also, monitor the voltage drop during engine cranking, using a multimeter, or OBD dongle.
Make sure it doesn't drop below 10V during load.

Hi guys, need some advices,

The price between eb premium vs executive is about 10k,
Is it worth for the money if i buy the premium?

Btw, i read from proton website, FC for premium is 7.8 L /100 km, while executive is 7.0 L / 100km, what make the different?

Pricing and specs

Go to above URL, and select the models to compare.
The FC is different here and there. Take the comparison above, Premium and Exec is same FC, but SP is higher.
I'd ignore it.

Greeting guys/gals, new EB owner, took the car last week, solid colour. Mileage already 1k, going to SC on this Wednesday. Overall im satisfied with performance and handling of the mpv. The only thing im going to complain is that there's some squeak sound during slow speed, less than 10km/h hearing right inside the dashboard then just disappeared above that speed. Normally from standstill to start moving can hear clearly.  Any advise will be appreciated, thanks.

I have seen the car just know. I think the additional 10k is worth it because you will get many important features including the followings:

1) ESC
2) 2 additional airbags (total 4)
3) Leather seat
4) DVD player
5) Auto cruise

The FC was listed as 7.0 for both Executive and Premium in the brochure.

I think you confused between Premium and Super Premium.
Only the SP has ESC and 4 airbags. The SP is ~15k more than Executive.

The info in the website are wrong. I refer to the brochure and double check with the SA that the Premium is indeed come with 4 airbags and ESC. Attached is the brochure for your reference.

I was browsing their site few hours ago there was a bug in the pricing and spec page . First I sworn I saw ESC and 4 airbags for SP only and no info for the rest. Then I toggled between the 5 variants a few times... suddenly the ESC/ airbag info showed no data (even for SP). lol.

I checked again after reading your post ... and now its corrected. yes... ESC and 4 airbags for P and SP . Phew!

Hi..just got my EB Premium last week WA 4### X. Done only 300km due to raining all week.
My car also got knocking sound when going slow especially during traffic jam stop and go.
Suspected something loose near the gearbox or CV joint but the CVT behave normally.
Will check at Service Center when reach 1000km for first service.

This is exactly the same prob. as mine, have the issue been rectified bro, mind to share any key learning? As for mine, just done 1k service but the issue still persist and will be heading back to sc.

Yes bro. The Proton Edar website is not reliable and not up to date. I was having a big confusion when I was buying my Preve Executive CVT that the website mentioned it didn't come with curtain airbags. As last I chose to trust my SA and now I got the car with curtain airbags.

I always thought battery lasts around 1.5 yrs. surprised to see it can last that long. In that case I'll not change it for now.

Thanks bro. I did compare before but afraid the 45 series might cause the ride to be bumpy. So far I'm glad I took the 50 series. Moreover the speedo always reads slower than the waze speed. That's my rationale for choosing 50 series. Maybe the fuel might makan abit more tho

is it just me? personally i don't like the look of the black cladding. looks cheap. like "mende tampal-tampal". the rear bumper seems more practical. hmm.gif

Nothing wrong with your choice either. Welcome to the club.

Remember old wira, where the low end spec has black colored bumpers?
I'm from the old times, so yeah, agree with you.

I started noticing this trend since SUVs like CRV and some others start to have this 'black, raw plastic' trim on their cars. Something just don't look right IMO.user posted image
