this Exora, jangan mod, jangan pandai-pandai use additives, can dy... once the additives clogged up the oil cooler, it will cause the OCH to pressure high, then burst.... it's not the OCH fault, it's the OC fault

because the engine oil masuk turbo, and coolant also masuk turbo - use good oil, preferably diesel grade, coolant also tukar ikut mileage, don't cerewet

for the CVT, once masuk gear, wait for clutch to engage first baru tekan pedal, manja a bit

it will last a lifetime

for CVT any recommend brand of oil or original is good?

erm, so far I used original and Amsoil CVT
during oil change, the oil still original color one

as long as no hentam the pedal before the CVT clutch engage
I not highway drive, is daily uphill downhill one, so far so good

Sometimes I wonder - What about Civic / CRV Turbo. Do they have OC like Exora?
And this is what I found: No they dont have OC like Proton does. Even with a higher output.

yeah, CFE the engine itself is quite OK... oil cooler ada, oil+water cooled turbo ada, CVT cooler ada

just the laggish CVT engagement if kena the wrong right foot will kill it, somehow bypassing engagement and the overload protection, and the possibility of clogged OC that caused ppl to suspect the OCH is the weakness, the OCH is also the victim. just think about it, why always only one OCH pecah, and not the other one?

just jaga minyak, don't push it using low viscosity oil mainly the turbo depends on the oil film to spin, the heat itself will bring the oil viscosity out of normal operating temp. imagine, the oil is rated at 40C and 100C, but it actually working at >300C at some points (valve stem, turbo housing + bearing etc), so the 'thinness' of xW-30 oil may not be able to provide enough film strength. saving a few drops of petrol using 0W-30 or 5W-30 is not worth the risk, in my opinion. many cars of course survive using xW-30 oil at 10k km interval, but I chose to use xW-40 at 5k km interval.

I need oil change after a recent Mannol Ester, this time I ordered Mizu.

Me . Using it on my Axia 0w20 and Exora 5w30.
Quite lasting.

Now trying a can (pour about 170ML) of Liqui Moly MOS2 Anti Friction (not the engine oil, the treatment) on my EB together with the Mizu.
Next round gonna try a German brand called Rektol on my Axia. Slightly cheaper than Mannol. But do understand both these oil dont have API certification somehow, versus Mizu at least have API certification.

My Exora front absorber having oil leakage for over 6months d, but I think its get worst now especially can hear "ngek2" sound when over the hump.

Any brand recommendation for replacement? or just no brainer just stock replacement will do?

I saw some brand like KYB, GAB, Monroe...not sure which to choose but I'm not a racing person...just maybe layan a good cornering depends on mood la...most important not sacrificing comfort

The scenario was normal for Kayaba during waja time. Less than 1 year, sure got issues with stock absorber. Resolved mine with Sport Absorber Pro Ride by Sapura, combo with red colour sport spring.

Reason, it just the best price for aftermarket absorber + spring and reliable

usually when that noise happen, is either steering rack bush, or some mounting
in some cases, is the stabilizer bar bush

I use Kayaba RS Pro, very bumpy, but, layan corner suitable for me

some road bumps I normally take, one time kena nose dive and hit my CVT cooler pecah
now with RS pro much better taking bumps

Before this Mannol Ester 5W-40.
Now Mizu 5W-50.

Change CVT oil as well, improved a few things:
- jerking at idle when switch gear
- downhill drag to 3k RPM will have 'ngerrrr' sound

Hi, Wish to ask anyone encountered door can't lock by remote? After swithed off engine, central locking doesn't open, while open door have the door sound then remote not working.

Hope someone can advice me.

mine also got such problem recently. the problem is it back to normal after a while. so i didn't sent to sc.

remote battery weak

I wonder how possible remote battery weak effecting this as after turn off engine and pull out key, supposesly central locking shd be unlock but nine doesn't unlock. Anyway, will try change the remote battery to test and revert here later. Thanks.

After u pull out key, notice the dash, quite likely there's an indicator for remote low battery like blinking.

Tried to check low battery light after pull out key but dash indicator did not show.

Tried changed remote battery, situation improved but still central locking doesn't always unlock when key pull out.

Occasionally, car alarm triggered in locked condition. Manual lock using key also facing issue of car unlocked by itself... really wonder whats the issue?
