Hi anyone using EB do the grab/uber? How tahan this  car doing long run everday?

My Exora front absorber having oil leakage for over 6months d, but I think its get worst now especially can hear "ngek2" sound when over the hump.

Any brand recommendation for replacement? or just no brainer just stock replacement will do?

I saw some brand like KYB, GAB, Monroe...not sure which to choose but I'm not a racing person...just maybe layan a good cornering depends on mood la...most important not sacrificing comfort

this car got 2 mounting weaknesses - the steering bush and engine mounting

my steering bush changed under warranty under the prescription of 3S center
engine mounting is every 10~15k will start feel kurang sedap, but, I just keep using until 50~60k then change

for tyre size, probably 215/55R16 is ok, am using 215/45R17 now
long distance lejan around 9L/100km not worth gentle driving hahaha
and, one thing I noticed, after a highway drive of lejan mode, going back to city drive, the Instant FC becomes lower, example cruising FC normal is 6L, will become 5.xL

The Mizu I've used 2-3 oil changes on my Axia and my Exora. So far is quite good. No catastrophic even happened.
Genuinely certified Api ratings and not just slap an Api SN rating.

Furthermore I pour a can of Liqui Moly Mos2 (pour about 3/4 actually) but don't see any difference in FC. Maybe it will protect the engine better.

For the Bold oil yes it's also genuinely Certified Api but I haven't tried yet.

Previously I have tried 0W20 and the answer is:

1) No oil consumption - which was my initial concern also.
2) FC may had improve a tiny bit, which is barely noticeable . The fuel brands will affect it noticebly.
3) Water temperature according to OBD remains normal

Do I still recommend 0w20? Yes still , if he drives the car for short distance. It may improve abit of FC like I say.
Although I have tested for various normal conditions and it doesnt exhibit oil consumption.
But anyhow I have reverted back to 5w30.

Now why would you go 50 weight? Thats very thick for even modern engine.
I can understand its for the turbo, but even Proton themselves recommend 5w30. 
Putting too high viscosity and its even worse, cause the oil will flow slower than usual.
50 weight is best for very high temperature application and continous high rev.
Traffic jam is not considered high temperature.

The front number by lower temp range, the back number by upper temp range.
The smaller the gap between front and back number, the better oil quality (old school thinking).
- For example: 15W40 is better than 10W40.

The Proton recommended oil is similar to generic oil visco chart from last time. Designed using 90~00's rule and technology. Modern engines running 0W20 to 0W16 are very different.

I'll go xW30 or xW40 after this.

Any recommendation for engine oil for my 10 years old exora bold? Latest one I use Petronas Syntium 800, but it's quite expensive. Any cheaper but still good eo to recommend?

yeah, I heard something similar, IINM it's near the intake manifold, so need to buka the hood to listen

for me, it happens quite often after an oil change, so I'm guessing because thinner oil causing the oil pressure not build up fast enough during cold start, the stock oil is 10W-30 to 15W-40... now I just use 5W-40

thanks. Many advise to change the oil at 5k, even though it is said for 10k. The car a bit not smooth at lower speed, and I have been told that the gear oil is dirty before 60k, so I change out around 55k. There was a time that the car lost power during heavy rain (i think I passed through a water puddle), I have to restart the car after that and all is good except a bit jerking. But SC just do some reset on the computer and so far all is good. Is there any method to stop it from happening?

hai guys, my headlamp bulb one size fused. looking to buy online a replacement, then feel like going down rabbit-hole of choices - halogen, led, hid, h4, h7 etc etc.

i thought wah, ok change LED is better and brighter, but then also read about possible illegal or blind ppl. so nevermind, I think I will stick with the original halogen.

but look on shopee, there's wide range of pricing, from rm6 per bulb (labelled Osram brand), rm20ish (also Osram or bosch), then rm90+ for high-end Osram Night breaker etc etc.

Too many choices, I think I will stick of standard bulb now. Should I go for the cheapest rm6 Osram or mid-range osram/bosch? what is the difference.

What do you guys think of using Exora as a cargo vehicle?

I do deliveries, and considering between Exora vs Vannette. Regulations aside, i think Exora has quite a decent space if i remove all the seats.

Worth to consider?

2 pieces on front 205/55 R16
Hankook Ventus Prime 4 aka VP4

Rear still on XM2 205/55R16
Front was using 215/45R17 Primacy4 for a while now they're gone, so go back to stock rim using the VP4

XM2 (used from another car) 35k rear (not including previous mileage) and still going, 20k front finished (touching TWI, outer edges ripping and shredding)
Primacy 4 (used from another car) put on front, 25k finished both pairs - treads are not touching TWI, but outer edges are ripping and shredding... maybe lower profile makes the outer edges work harder

From my experience, the Michelins are very long lasting, if only the front tyres don't tear on the outer sides, they would last even longer - the XM2 (2020 tyres) were tearing and ripping off, same as the Primacy4 (2019 tyres IINM)

Maybe need front camber adjustment...

EO I'm still using Mizu 0W-40 every 5k km

OCH hose, just monitor and won't bother to replace every 40k km... if anything should happen, it's the oil cooler clogging not the hose problem

as I said before, maybe it's not the OCH hose that is broken, is the oil cooler that clogged up inside causing the hose to burst
changing the hose will not solve the issue
need to change the oil cooler

May I know how long have you been using Mizu for your exora bold? Since I mostly change my EO by myself, I'm trying to find which EO is the best. My Exora's ODO is 121793km.
