I am new in folding bike. Currently I am looking for a bike that suits me (5'7") and my son (4'0"). We have tested a few bikes on display at malls, but found none that fits me and my kid. (Basically my kid's feet cannot touch the ground when seated.)

I intend to bring out the bike to taman and lake garden to ride with my kid. Any advise is very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Usually the right method of seating will make your legs not touch the ground when stationary. But for kids, you can make it slightly lower since they do not ride far.

Anyway, suggest to go to real bike shops where they sell bikes for smaller kids. I think the ones they have at the malls target the adult audience.

Thanks for advice.

I am looking for folding type, so that father and son can share usage of the bike. Guess most of them are not for the small kids, ya.

For all folding bikes, you can adjust seatpost and for some models, you can also adjust the handlepost to suit your kid's height and reach...

I have 2 kids, got one 20 inch and one 16 inch, both the seatpost I potong else if they lower it, the seatpost will kena floor or thru hump. The only thing is the reach, from seat to handle bar. looking at taoboa to order the curve handle bar, to allow shorter reach for my kids (around 4 feet height too).

FNhon is a parallel manufacturing product of Dahon. Most of the models are the same. I assembled one unit 16 inch for a lady rider and she can ride from Kampar to Sitiawan and back with 22 kilometers offroad in a plantation. The bike performed wonderfully. Go ahead and rest assured of the quality. You actually can use all Dahon parts on it. In fact I still have a brand new Dahon Dove frame if anyone is interested but it's only single speed.

Depending on your need and requirement, custom building is not cheap! The 16 inch that I assembled cost over 3K rclxub.gif BUT she was really satisfied with the bike because it is only 9 kgs. Also it folded very compactly, so compact that it was about the same size as a B when folded. In fact the frame after conversion and shipping is not cheap either. In fact the picture you posted is the same frame as the one I assembled.

Most of my bikes use these bb. That's a nice find. Do they have anymore ? What length spindle do they have and how much?
