yes..its 185/55r16....i checked this morning....

so even i change diff brand of tyre the pressure still follow honda standard?
*
Yeah, just follow the honda standard.

Michelin XM2 is meant for durability, not so much on performance and noise.

I am also planning to change to XM2 since my dad's camry is using it. So far so good..

In fact, the stock Good Year Excellence tyre is good for grip. But compromised on quiet ride.

Wat is ur tyre size now? u can see it at the side walls of your tyre. Eg. 185/55r16

Then use the tyre size calculator to check similar sizes:
http://tire-size-conversion.com/tyre-size-calculator/
General rule is do not exceed 3% error.

Some people say u can lowering the tyre pressure to get extra comfort. But there are also cons.
http://outbackjoe.com/macho-divertissement...pressure-guide/

Best is to follow the recommended tyre pressure.
Tyre pressure is not determine by the tyre size. So if u change a different tyre size, it will not affect the tyre pressure.
Tyre pressure is actually determine by:
1) Car speed (normally how fast u drive. U can follow the tyre recommendation sticker. U will see it when u open the car door.
2) Car load (If u are bringing alot of passengers or stuff, u may need to increase tyre pressure)
3) Duration (If u are bringing heavy load for a long period of time, u may also need to increase tyre pressure)

Always invest on a good tyre pressure gauge to check the tyre pressure every 2 weeks or at least once a month.

PS: i read mostly from internet and forums so correct me if i am wrong, hehe..

There is a sticker near the driver door that state the pressure. Curious is the pressure is for HOT or COLD tyre?

When checking tyre pressure, it is always best to check when the tyres are cold so that the tyre pressure reading will be more accurate. So i believe the sticker is for cold tyres.

I'm using the Michelin guideline now. Just want to confirm whether the sticker is for cold tires or not.

To be honest, i didn't see the effect at all. I spent my hard earned 1k to do the coating - pps/3bond. Now felt like being cheated.

Yeah, the recommended tyre pressure sticker is for cold tyre.
If follow the recommended tyre pressure on hot tyre, the actual pressure is below recommended tyre pressure when the tyre is cold. Meaning to say the tyre is actually inflated. Driving in over inflated tyres can lead to many disadvantage such as:
1) Overheating in tyres which will lead to poor vehicle handling on the road.
2) Tyres will quickly wear off.
3) Increase in rolling resistance as more fuel is required to maintain the same speed.

That is why michelin guidline suggested to add extra psi onto recommended tyre pressure for hot tyres.

Coating is apply for those who seldom drive the car but need to ensure the dirt won't stick on the car paint. If you drive the vehicle everyday, it is recommended you wash every week and the car will be clean and good enough. No point to do coating while driving in raining season in which ultimately will leave some dirty marks on the paint surface.

All is Marketing Gimmick. If coating can last for 7 years as per claimed for high end product, the car will be shiny all the time. People won't spend few thousand to respray the car. Coating is apply for those who have excess cash in hand and don't know how to spend the money wisely.

Where does it states coating is for those who seldom drive their car? Give correct facts please... doh.gif

Coating ensures protection against climate, regular scenarios like bird droppings, scratches, dust, and spills... Which waxing can't 100%...

Another thing is your car will get dirty no matter you've done coating or waxing... But with a good coating, it's easier to wash off all the dirt and all...

Not all coating is marketing gimmick... Only those cheap coating that are riding on top of those branded coating are copycats grade A+++... Those don't last like those good coating brands...

You think after coating you don't need to take care of your car? Have you tested coated car vs non-coated car before for 4+ years? I have tested coated my previous car with G'zox and versus conventional polishing and waxing, coating it's a better protection for 4+ years...

And coating is not for "those with excess cash in hand and don't know how to spend money wisely"... Good products for conventional detailing can set you back a lot of $ also... Do you even polish and wax your own car?

There are people who supports conventional polishing and waxing vs those who supports coating...

Please get your facts right... Don't simply say lor...

to me additional coating is like putting screen protector on your mobile. sure it got corning gorilla glass that can stand daily usage but additional barrier helps to add remnant life to a product.
just want to highlight that for polymers (such used to coat the car), other than brand, applicators play major role on making sure its applied right.
myself i havent got extra coating on my car as i couldnt find trustable applicator around my neighbourhood T_T
