hello, bout to get my city tomorrow, e spec variant.can i know what to check first with the car before i take the car..tq
*
I am also going to get my Honda city E spec (blue) soon. rclxm9.gif Mainly going to check the gap issues listed in the 1st page.

Just wondering, have anyone change their tires from 175/65r15 to 195/60r15 ?
Any decent brand for tires 195/60r15? hmm.gif Seems like limited choices in Malaysia. doh.gif

U will have to change your rims I guess? 195 is a little too wide for our rims of 175
*
I want to increase the width a little to have more grip.

I read based from team-bhp forums and used the tire size calculator.
http://tire-size-conversion.com/tire-size-calculator/

It seems like 195/60r15 is the most suitable upgrade with 0.8% difference.
It may affect a little on the FC.
I think the general thumb of rule is not to have more than 2-3% difference.

195/60R15 is little too big, car will feel heavy, under power. Would recommend for 195/55R15

Both 195 sizes are common size, easily to get tyres from any proper brands, like Pirelli, Michellin etc.
*
I use the tire size conversion.
From 175/65r15 to 195/60r15 is +0.8%
From 175/65r15 to 195/55r15 is -2.5%

Michelin only have XM2 for 195/60r15.
Ps3 and P3st don't have.
Heard that XM2 is only entry level tires.

Send to Honda SC to check the chasis see whether lock properly or not. Previously my car also experience this problem and upon checking, they realize assembling plant did not locked the chasis properly.
*
Ohh, I thought all honda city 2014 and 2015 steering wheel were light? Maybe I will ask the SC when doing my 1k checking.

QUOTE(soniz @ Mar 17 2015, 12:28 PM)
Hi. Anyone has any say about the steering feel of City when running at high speed? I was doing 110-120km/h and occasion short burst to 130-140km/h and it gave an unpleasant lightness feel and dare not to run faster. I am not complaining nor am I comparing but my older car, Proton Saga megavalve 1991 handled much better at 160-170km/h but of course when during new. I wonder how other owners' experiences are.
*
My steering wheel is also very light when driving 120-130km/h therefore I need to grip with two hands.

VSA stops working above 40km/h as per the Honda Safety Intructor during Honda Safety Driving Course

shocking.gif Speechless..

It is like saying, you do not need airbag/brake when you drive above 40km/h. shakehead.gif

That's what the safety instructor said. We test drove Honda Hybrid cars around a circle 2 times to experience VSA activating. I drove over 50km/h and the Civic Hybrid began to oversteer as the VSA unable to cope...  sweat.gif

Here's a video during the safety driving course when the ABS module is disabled and driving 45km/h then jam brake on the plastic sheets with soap water to simulate wet road conditions...

Maybe VSA of Honda insight and Honda City are different, lol..

Here say VSA very good but they tested with 60km/h la..

QUOTE(Khrlzmn @ Mar 25 2015, 01:16 PM)
hi, i'm new here.. is this is a good offer from my SA?

need comment from u guys
*
Wahh.. no wonder he can give you RM4k rebate.
For that money, i rather u upgrade to V spec to get the 6 airbag, 8 speaker, cruise control, touchscreen display, 16 inch sports rim! drool.gif
Try to negotiate with him how much cash rebate he can give you if you upgrade to V spec without adding any accessories .. hmm.gif
I think RM3500 cash rebate shouldn't be a problem..

I think the premium package in Malaysia is not worth it and way overprice. The Illuminated Side Step looks cool but i seldom always leave my doors open so i don't get to see it much laugh.gif
The only thing i find it practical is trunk tray but i think we can get it at a much cheaper price in mudah. icon_idea.gif
http://www.mudah.my/Honda+city+2014+boot+t...ay-28052092.htm

Personally I don't like what Malaysia is offering for the Modulo package because the package is quite expensive, lack of the awesome front grille and I prefer the other spoiler like what brother siamanggagap has installed. Maybe you can get the modulo package at a cheaper price in mudah although it is not original. The modulo package + E spec rims = shakehead.gif

For my case, my budget was around RM80k so i selected E spec and try to negotiate with my SA for a Rm3500 cash rebate.
In the end, my SA gave me RM3200 cash rebate, full petrol, trunk tray and honda gift.
At least still not too bad because met my budget thumbup.gif

Yup, coz I am working in Singapore so I don't have time to install these stuff. Today was on annual leave so i managed to installed the locktech and customize mat at Sh@rty5 workshop. He suggested me to put a purple and black dual tone mat. Very satisfied with the mat and service!

anyone can recommend any car lock for maximum car protection fron theft? price & location? tyvm!
*
I install the locktech pedal lock. It is made from Thailand and a well known brand for pedal lock that comes with a 3 years warranty. It has double lock which can use for our push start. To me, it is considered good security better than none. However if someone really wants to steal your car, no one can stop them.
I purchase from sh@rty5 in this forum. His shop is in klang.

today got update from my SA ,

Cash Rebate only rm500 , used to have 3k on march . i make the booking on march but havent get the car due to no stock.

Add on the reduction of gst 1.5k ... all together 2k only.... and need to fork out extra 1k to equal march price ...

So gst ... final car price more higher...

i really lol ....
*
Luckily bought my car earlier!

Btw, i see some members posted their mileage can hit 17km/l. However my mileage sucks. I already drove very lightfooted although i dont use eco mode. Most of the time is green color. But my mileage is around 6.5km/l. I drove around town so quite a number of traffic lights. Is that the reason? How about you guys?

Mileage is bad when you drove on short road and keep stopping. Your mileage will increase when travel on long road without high traffic.

Thanks for the reply. Just now refuel in the middle of the highway and i reset the mileage meter. Drove lightfooted with eco mode. Manage to get 19.3km/l on the highway but when entered my town, dropped to 10.5km/l.
