So compound 1 time, need to repaint the whole car is it? You sure ar?

Compound is only removing 2-4 microns of paint... Then is polish follow by a protective layer of wax or sealant. If coating then its a layer of coating for protection...

You got ask Uncle Google properly or not? doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

Anyway, it is still make the paint thinner than original. Better save the cost and do repaint after the color become dull.

FYI, the paint itself won't get thinner, as it is not the top layer (DO YOU EVEN KNOW THIS ?)
the paint (color) is sandwiched between base and clear coat, clear coat makes your car shines, not the paint

Do you even know how many paint layers are there?

Attached Image

Compounding will cut a few micron of the clear coat first before reaching the color paint...

Anyway not everyone so rich like you go respray whole car for a few thousand when the paint becomes dull... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

If your car paint don't have paint defects then it's just some polishing to make it shine then coating or paint sealant... With coating or paint sealant, the paint won't dull in the first place to respray the whole car lor...

I don't know what logic that fella is using...

This is not to persuade people but give correct information to people so they can understand correctly from those misinformation given earlier... laugh.gif

Coating is apply for those who seldom drive the car but need to ensure the dirt won't stick on the car paint. If you drive the vehicle everyday, it is recommended you wash every week and the car will be clean and good enough. No point to do coating while driving in raining season in which ultimately will leave some dirty marks on the paint surface.

What you stated here was totally opposite from what the agent told me. They told me the more you drive under the rain, the more cleaner!.
The coating "SUPPOSE ANTI-DUST" and so little water (rain in this case) will wash it away.

In fact, this is totally crap!

Whether is ANTI DUST or not you try you will know. Different people have different perspective on coating. My driver had tested his car and after 1 year start to accumulate dirty marks on the surface and at the end of the day caused the paint peel off. Hence, the verdict is whether good or not only YOU will justify it.

Hey guys...can't seem to connect my S4 to the V spec thru HDMI. Is there any hidden step to connect? I just connect the cable to HDMI slot and to my phone and then press the HDMI option but only black screen. Tried restarting the phone and still the same.

Is there supposed to be any visual/sound indicator that the phone is connected? Suspect the cable is faulty but need some confirmation from sifus here.

Think your "driver" went and did a cheap coating... So you cannot blame all coating to be bad... Same goes to polishing and waxing...

I did go for silica glass coating by my SA, even before collecting my car.

Coating does protect your paint from environment to a degree, but still my car is damaged from rain stains because I left it there for more than week.

On top of that, during 1k service, the free car-wash from Kah Motor Puchong SS left a lot of tiny swirl mark on my car.
Should have asked the SS not to washed my car...T.T

With coating, u also need to take care. Give to road side car wash, u still get swirl marks all over if they r using cheapo clothes. IF the coating is hard enough, ie 9H, swirl marks will be less. The only good thing is that, swirl mark is now on the coating and not on your clear coat layer. (if your coating layer is thick enough)

Surely with coating, it will be easier to wash off dirt and dust.
When doing a car wash, your greatest enemy is sand. Do take note. SAND. Sand is silica, it's very very hard. If sand is not rinse off the body before wiping with clothes, u get fine scratches all over.
