Thinks he been looking at those branded detailing websites and saw only luxury cars like Ferrari, Lambo, BMW, etc... do coating and he perceived that only people with "excess cash in hand and don't know how to spend money wisely" doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif

got executive car dy, no need pay gas, no need pay insurance, still want kira this kind of things doh.gif

to me additional coating is like putting screen protector on your mobile. sure it got corning gorilla glass that can stand daily usage but additional barrier helps to add remnant life to a product.
just want to highlight that for polymers (such used to coat the car), other than brand, applicators play major role on making sure its applied right.
myself i havent got extra coating on my car as i couldnt find trustable applicator around my neighbourhood T_T

cheapo coating is like those rm10 screen protector, not much help, but at least it can minimize scratches on your screen, high end glass screen protector is expensive, but it helps in preventing cracked screen, can't even count how many times i've dropped my z2, luckily got use screen protector, so far, no chipped / cracked screen or protector

speaking bout coating, does it help to remove "spider web" and minor hair line scratches(thanks to road side car wash and the free car wash from Honda) from our paint surface and really restored the paint condition?
got my ride for already half year, and it's black, those "spider web" and minor scratches around annoyed me a lot laugh.gif
been invested damn a lot money on AutoGlym and some japanese product to prevent and remove them, but still no good, might as well used them "wisely" aka no where to spend on coating i guess....?

Before the coating process, they will actually polish/compund your car to remove or fix all paint defects before applying the coating...

Yup, they use blue flame to heat up or charged the surface before applying the coating so have stronger bond... I did blue flame for my previous for less than 6 months then sold d and bought City... LOL!

At the end of the day, the paint get thinner (after compounding) and repaint is required. What's the point?

So compound 1 time, need to repaint the whole car is it? You sure ar?

Compound is only removing 2-4 microns of paint... Then is polish follow by a protective layer of wax or sealant. If coating then its a layer of coating for protection...

You got ask Uncle Google properly or not? doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
