well, i've been getting constant 80kBps for about 4hours now on my package 384...issit good?

Yes it is gooood

B4 this, my download just about 40KB/s.. when upgraded to HSDPA, download constant about 120KB/s to 160KB/s
BTW, where is ur location?

Pandan jaya, Cheras..im in HSDPA mode

...though i must admit, the speed really sux on 4pm~7pm..

Emm, mybe many people call/sms/mms/vid call/etc using maxis line at that particular time

Can't expect 24 x7 getting rock speed.

Is that exceed the 3GB fair usage bandwidth policy and throttle without notification ? I do had downloaded exceed 3GB since the 10/07/2007 the technician come to setup it for me.

yeah, i din expect it either.its just that the speed dramatically decrease during that time.i can see my download from 60kbps going down to 10kbps

u tried reset the modem?

cinbao --> Have u try to connect Maxis WBB now? How is the speed?
Maybe that time 3AM technician are doing maintenance job.

Just wondering whether Maxis activate the Fair Usage Policy since some of u guys having this low speed when running BT. Are problem in normal surfing? Ever try using speedtest.net to try ur connection speed?

Depends on ur phone network... if it's 3G, u got 3G or HSDPA (if ur phone support HSDPA) speed otherwise just only GPRS.

Of course both service has different speed...HSDPA is 2x faster than 3G. Some user may getting > 768kbps...
So far there is no upload rate published in website for HSDPA. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Im using modem that provided by Maxis and connect it to Aztech router and connect to 4 PC.. 2 wired PC and 2 wireless PC.

No wonder la speed get hi coz at that time, all of my friend's PC turned off and i think less people using their maxis mobile service at that time

And yes, my network is HSDPA
