btw, here's some update:

-torrenting o2jam songpacks totalling 1.2GB, speed 10-40kBps (25kBps to b exact)
-direct download dotnet installer 2.0 from microsoft websitel a whopping 350kBps
-direct download youtube videos using video downloader;20-80kBps
-online gaming;noticeable lag in the afternoon starting from 11-4pm, but very smooth at nite
-connection in the afternoon is ok (sometimes i'll enter normal 3G mode)
-at nite its breezy (im in HSDPA..yay~~!!!)

using 384kbps promotional 30days trial package.

i subscribed it during their promotion at my college last 2 weeks.yesterday only they sent the modem to me, including doing some setup to my laptop (to their modem actually)

accessing internet is juz like streamyx; u on the modem, plug in to ur pc or laptop, and after a minute u're ready to go smile.gif

i've been using the broadband the whole day n all i got is download speed lesser than 1kbps sweat.gif

im in UMTS mode, the funny thing is my 3G phone can access maxis 3G wap at blazing speed sweat.gif

issit becos i've been using more than the 3GB bandwidth?

if this situation is the same when i go back to hostel, i think hv to call maxis CS..

hmm..it seems that mayb this maxisBB had prob with UMTS in penang.

jz returned to my hostel, connected at HSDPA speed.uber fast jz like b4, but frequent dc during peak hours.

now watching youtube smile.gif

not all of us are so RICH to buy a DATACARD..even a 2nd hand one cost RM350 here in garage sales...

anyone can explain why my torrent download is higher than direct download? its wierd to me, never in my life... sweat.gif and my port hasnt been forwarded properly cos i dunno how..now using port 57000..

comparison of download:
sid meier's railroads! using utorrent: 30kbps++
bleach ep117 from bleachexile using download manager: 18~25kbps sweat.gif

hmm...my fren jz upgraded to 768kbps package...i can say significant improvement on speed (cant test actual speed) due to he has about 6 PCs in the house including his frens...everyone downloaded average 60~80kbps with download managers sweat.gif
