posted from my own post at "broadband user2user"
QUOTE hmm..im testing the 3G broadband now for 30days..maxis came to my college and promote it. so far already download 1GB the 1st day,2nd day 1.5GB.. usual download speed if direct download, ranging from 10~40kbps for problematic websites(asian webs, earthquake cables mayb?)....while downloading from US websites average around 80~150kbps. i downloaded my o2jam client in around 15mins. btw, im using the 384kbps... ps: torrent not yet tested. btw, im currently downloading ragnarok battle offline from filecloud.com for the sake of my roomate (he loves playing it) current speed now is 240kBps~350kBps (note the big "B" there, and not some small "b") still, it's a 384kbps package.... |

QUOTE(nocar @ Feb 24 2007, 12:38 PM) we should call them maxshit.... hahaha. at the end all ISPs got their nickname from malaysian users. so idiot la..this is the 3rd day im using GPRS to connect.UMTS failed.if this situation is the same when i go back to hostel, i think hv to call maxis CS.. not fair, they didnt say anything about throttling, limiting bandwidth to me when i signed up and they dont even instruct me to read the terms and conditions before signing up |

And first impression is.. when I used it on my car park its damn fast.. as I didnt let the guy come into my house as it Nodame Style. lol.. Too messy I mean.. But when I assemble it on my room. OMG. I got only 5 kpbs... And outside I can get up to 40kpbs.. Sob.. u shud be grateful that u have tmnut as ur backup line.Even TMnut I can get 100kpbs lately for BT excluding surfing the net and msn chatting. Sob... Hope things improve.. Will bring it to lotsa place to check it out. Hehe . Now to try online in the car while going to work. Wireless internet just that the modem is damn bulky. Haha |

QUOTE(wr6969 @ Mar 10 2007, 07:17 PM) If mobility is so important, perhaps a datacard is much better compared to using the HSDPA modem provided by Maxsucks. That is, if they don't SIM lock the SIM to the fugly looking modem only. not all of us are so RICH to buy a DATACARD..even a 2nd hand one cost RM350 here in garage sales...anyone can explain why my torrent download is higher than direct download? its wierd to me, never in my life... comparison of download: sid meier's railroads! using utorrent: 30kbps++ bleach ep117 from bleachexile using download manager: 18~25kbps |
