Visit http://www.tsb.com.my/ to check it out.

That is true, the developer got cant do shit with the pirates, need to resolved to lameass action with these new protection.

Once installed, you cant remove those registry, it will stay there permanently, genuine disc cant be reinstalled for more than 5 times, it will be blocked onwards smile.gif

Thats why they called it BioShock, adding some shocking crap into you pc  laugh.gif

The demo was pretty short, finished it in about an hour or so.

The widescreen is built in, no need for 'hacks'

Hmphh... like that will stop piracy..
There will always be a workaround for even the most powerful security protection...
*

There are no such thing as powerful protection. It will get bypass as soon they rolled them out.

Starforce is the most tough one because it so nasty until screwed up your whole damn pc. Once they managed to bypass it, we dont get to see the protection anymore. Although some companies still prefer to use it but we can count them with our fingers wink.gif

A little less nasty than Starforce but carried the same objective: invading and monitoring your pc

Now that the (very short) demo is finished, I'm uninstalling, do the 2k spyware get uninstalled as well or is there some manual procedure needed? This is so unfair on the part of 2k, loading some trojanware on their demo.

The console version got zero protection. They want to make money on that platform.

You may be able to select a widescreen resolution, but the Field of View (FOV) is limited at those resolutions. Get the workaround posted in the WSgaming forums and you'll see the difference. Please note you have to run the demo in dx9 mode for the hack to work (unless the author has updated the fix).

The securerom service is installed on my PC (via the demo), verified via the rootkit finder utility. Since the PC hasn't been blown to pieces (yet), I'll just leave it there before removing it when I'm rajin enough to do so. laugh.gif

True. Heck, this was not what M$ had in mind when it released Vista. They wanted an OS that developers can just use like a console, drop in the DVD and immediatly play, without all the protection shit. Even if you want to protect the content, some of the protection software is killing the OS, and even M$ acknowledge that. Heck, i'd stay away from DVD if this trend continues. At least STEAM and some internet based games distribution are better.

At this rate I better not get the ori or even the pc version at all if this continues sweat.gif

not that I can't afford, my pc is too new to get "infected" with this kind of "virus". Want my 8800 to last longer than blow up due to this virus. unsure.gif
