what does this rootkit do? blink.gif

wow, this game is turning out to be anti-piracy so much, that even those who bought genuine is hit hard by the developers actions.
*

That is true, the developer got cant do shit with the pirates, need to resolved to lameass action with these new protection.

Once installed, you cant remove those registry, it will stay there permanently, genuine disc cant be reinstalled for more than 5 times, it will be blocked onwards smile.gif

Thats why they called it BioShock, adding some shocking crap into you pc laugh.gif

Hmphh... like that will stop piracy..
There will always be a workaround for even the most powerful security protection...
*

There are no such thing as powerful protection. It will get bypass as soon they rolled them out.

Starforce is the most tough one because it so nasty until screwed up your whole damn pc. Once they managed to bypass it, we dont get to see the protection anymore. Although some companies still prefer to use it but we can count them with our fingers wink.gif

Hey, I just renamed the fhx.pl to fhx.zip and unzipped okay but what's this about antipirate malware?! Is it something nasty like starforce?
*

A little less nasty than Starforce but carried the same objective: invading and monitoring your pc

bah. This is why PC gaming is getting killed. Why don't you install all that spywares on the consoles too?
*

The console version got zero protection. They want to make money on that platform.

and once again....it wasnt so hard to email the support....heres the entire email....from start to finish....

so consider this the spoonful for the day....and feel free to keep the spoon as well.. wink.gif
even with all that i fail to understand why in gods name is an internet connection needed for installation..... ridiculous man... doh.gif
*

Because they likes to screw the legit customer over something that shouldnt be there in the first place. The email reply you got are really retarded. If you cant install without the internet, what is the farking point for offline activation ?

Thats why i got the *ahem* version. We dont pay for such kind of crap. You got it for free but too bad the installation proccess are such pain in the ass.

Well, for me running Core2Duo 2.2GHz, 8600gts 256mb and 2gb of RAM, with all the settings on high (but AA turned off), I don't get acceptable frame rate at 1680x1050 (my monitor native res) ... bioshock really has some high requirements for it to look kickass AND have smooth framerate ...
*

Just scaledown to 1280x960 and you will noticed smooth frame rate. Your card cant manage that kind of resolution. Even 8800GTS 320mb would struggle.
