got a few questions regarding this z5 after reading 39 pages biggrin.gif

1 - hows the battery? is it easy to take out? coz it is bad fr battery right if overcharge

2 - it is easy to reach the fan? just to DIY cleaning the fan biggrin.gif

3 - is the USB thing happened to every user?

4 - how about the BSOD thing?

this is bcoz im not staying near to the service point and wouldnt able to send to service point when there is an error biggrin.gif

wanna think of these issues before i proceed biggrin.gif

Hi ddr3,

1. Z5 8-cell battery is built in and you have to remove the bottom case before removing it. You can constantly charge it no problem.

2. As easy as accessing the battery.

3. Do you mean USB connectivity issue? So far we have 1 report issue and waiting the user to send in his laptop after CNY.

4. Do you mean xarive BSOD issue? Unfortunately we haven't had the chance the test the laptop till now, waiting the user sending in and will keep you guys posted after testing.

i know how to take out, and its very easy...just one cover for the whole laptop..BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT U CAN REMOVE AND INSTALL THE BATTERY ANYTIME U WANT, REMOVING IT ALSO GOT 12 SCREWS TO OPEN THE BACK COVER..its easy, but tedious (like alienware m14)

but i didnt take out the cover, because my hinge also got problem and i want illegear to check it first b4 i open or do anything with it smile.gif for safety precautions. smile.gif

once i settle my problems with my z5, then if u still want, ill make a video of how to open the cover and post here (but its easy tho) smile.gif

battery still good thumbup.gif and yes, i didnt take out the battery...i really want to, but sometimes i need to use the laptop in my uni and it would be easier with the battery

why, u plan to take out the battery ??

Hi christ14,

You did visit us? biggrin.gif

We couldn't remember lol

Btw the performance gap between 970M and 860M is quite big.

Hey there. Before I get to you, I am gonna make sure it is a hardware issue by fresh installing the whole OS. Please let me try reformat the whole laptop and see whether the BSOD got away or the other way round. Thanks!

Hi PeinEVO,

Arvin just brought in his Z5, its a hinge "cover" problem not the metal hinge, it's a small casing to cover the hinge.

The hinge cover got some physical damage and we already replaced it.

Win 7 will also receive free Win 10 update once it is released. So if you're really not into Win 8, you can still stick to you Win 7. smile.gif

P/S: Make sure you're using genuine version of windows to have full support from Microsoft and free update to Win 10.
