is the new Z5 ips same as the ips available for extra charge on the old 860M Z5?

The new one is a different panel.

It looks better IMO.

Hi fr3eze,

I think we can offer you a new screen exchange even though it's not covered under warranty, like what we did to all our customers for eg xarive etc.

Please bring it to us and we can exchange a new one for you within 1 hour.

For the layman, if you don't have a 802.11ac router, there is no need for a wifi-ac card (802.11 is another name for Wi-Fi). More details about the differences here.

Most people around here have only up to 802.11n routers anyway.

Just got the two new Z5s we ordered last night. I bought mine mainly for development instead of for playing games, but here's my Z5 running Divinity: Original Sin at Ultra settings.

I'm pretty much loving this. The cooling system is pretty much what I need in a laptop like this. I left my laptop turned on doing all kinds of stuff since I received it. I haven't turned it off yet, not even once. But I don't feel much heat coming from any side of it at all, only very slight warmth at the bottom.

The bottom pane feels a bit flimsy at times, but I really like how easy it is to open it up.

Definitely will recommend it to others. Will buy again in the far future once this laptop has worn out. All the best, Illegear!

It's only been about more than a day and I've been busy setting up my gf's laptop and my own laptop myself.

But so far it's all been great!! Even removing the bottom pane to put in the RAM modules has been quite a pleasant experience for a laptop: 1) remove all screws at the bottom 2) pull out the pane.

I like that.

And our laptops look pretty fancy!

Hi fr3eze,

If your warranty is carry-in type you have to send in/carry in at your own cost.

If it's manufacturing defect and you opted for onsite pickup, ILLEGEAR will arrange pickup/return at our cost.

Hope clarify.

Believe me. I've tried so many solutions before for this kind of BSOD. Chin said that it's common for 8.1 pro to have BSOD once or twice a week. But AFAIK, a couple of users here did not experience frequent BSOD as I do.

Of course the good ol DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Enabled driver verifier, found nothing.

If you have friend which got similar output power adapter, try using it. Or try to use other version of Windows, make a small partition for Windows 7 (no need for genuine as you just want to test it out).
Also, if you can get your hand on a voltage regulator, try using it to monitor the voltage and current which goes into your laptop.
