QUOTE(blaxez @ Jan 14 2008, 09:08 PM) O-week is more to societies/associations fishing for new members to join plus and also the round-the-campus tour. Nothing much interesting. For the meet up, we should talk about it later since there might be others just wanna hop in. Just share Windows Live contacts. Should go on the Friday one, with the live gig at the Roundhouse. |

QUOTE(kamagotchi @ Jan 14 2008, 09:38 PM) Go to O-week everyday! There's not much else to do anyways.. Then we can go to Mamak Mamak so soon? I find that if I get too addicted to Malaysian food, it makes me homesick too soon since the Malaysian food here is often crap and overpriced, watered-down fare. Though, I might want to give this a try: http://www.mamak.com.au/Is it possible to have no tutes? Generally there are no tutes in Week 1, unless you have an overzealous course admin. O Week is in Week 0, a non-study week. If you're doing some courses which has a laboratory component, Week 0 may also be used as an introductory session. UNSW now implements a 12-week full academic session, in line with other Go8 unis. Previously, we have 14-weeks of study and teaching, so be prepared for more cramming people! QUOTE(december88 @ Jan 14 2008, 06:57 PM) huh? if it's official doc. then i guess you can do it via computer and print it out, most important IMO is the witness, and also the signatures of the party involved. Depends on what kind of documents you talking abt. Anyway i don't know since i'm past 18. QUOTE(kamagotchi @ Jan 14 2008, 08:46 PM) Documents need to be translated into English by a lawyer if Im not mistaken. U should ask an agent to do it, it would be much much muchhh easier. Thanks guys, I think I have all my stuff sorted out already. QUOTE(HyeoshinX @ Jan 14 2008, 09:01 PM) Yup, I'm going to Trinity College, but it'll be the residential college. What are you going there for? Foundation Studies, Summer School, Residential? |

Buy printers when they are on offers, you will get a great deal.
I think you will just need to buy an optional USB cable (which it is not included in the package) to connect the printer to the computer. This post has been edited by s373n: Jan 14 2008, 11:04 PM |

QUOTE(chris_c28 @ Jan 14 2008, 08:46 PM) Broadband quality is pretty good here compared to our craptastic Streamyx. I'd say. Streaming from video sites without having to pause. Full speed on all p2p file sharing systems. I'm on TPG, and I'm on the $60/month plan which gives me 30GB. Split between 4 people, that is just slightly above 7GB per person. Seriously, if you do download more than that A MONTH, consider getting a life.I'm paying $50 per month for TPG's 20GB, but since I share it with my flatmate, I pay half that. The only problem I have with TPG is their transparent proxy, which can be a bugger if you are a rapidshare person. On the plus side, your IP is static, so no such rubbish as disconnecting/reconnecting to get a good IP, and if you do get banned, its only you. I'm sick and tired of stupid Malaysians who get the whole 60.48.x.x-60.52.x.x range banned. And i ever find who got the whole *.tm.net.my DNS range banned in a certain channel, I'll hunt him/her/it down and kill it. QUOTE(y@m@d@_iToE @ Jan 14 2008, 10:19 PM) Price wise, there is very little difference once you take the currency exchange into consideration. Australia is not the pendalaman okay?! You don't have to take all your sundry goods with you. Remember, unless you're flying Business/First, all we have is 20KG.Added on January 15, 2008, 10:57 am QUOTE(-Jonathan- @ Jan 15 2008, 07:12 AM) Are you out of your mind? Honestly, toothpaste is NOT that expensive in Australia, and as discussed a few pages back, it is the basic stuff that is normal in price. I once knew someone who brought 3 packs if Double A paper over to down under. WHY?! Its not like you can't get paper there!I'll just end with this: penny wise, pound foolish. Think about it.
