guys, which is the cheap airline to fly from kl to melb return and which agent recommended in kl, pj ?

I knew a guy working at Avalon and he said that Air Asia X will be open at Avalon after hari raya, since they still want to setup an Immigration office at Avalon. So, just be ready in front of your PC after hari raya... rclxms.gif

bad time? what sort of bad time? we in Malaysia have been living safe (sort of rolleyes.gif ) without firearms what. i can't imagine rempits getting their hands on firearms. it'd be disaster. shakehead.gif

Added on October 4, 2007, 10:27 amthe talk about budget airlines have got me really excited. hope everything will be planned well by the time i manage to get my ass there. laugh.gif technically speaking it isn't quite far anyway, the distance between Malaysia and Australia. just slightly farther than the distance from Malaysia to HK, provided if you aren't going too far off places in Aussie.

Try Qantas. While SuperSaver fares might be thin on the ground for Dec, it is always a good shot. And if you can afford it, Etihad and Emirates are reasonable, through you'd have to go through SIN.

I had a return ticket from MAS, and I'm currently on waiting list. If I don't get a seat, I'll get a refund and fly SIA instead.

From your previous post it appears that it's your first year here, thus your first time booking a flight back? Well, just so you know, it's peak peak peak season during in December, so next time, book early and beat the rush.

Ahh and if you believe that it's any different with SIA; that you can get a flight back at your whim, well.. just try it and see smile.gif And good luck trying to get a refund too if it happens that you need it smile.gif

i dunno, the guy told me about it, since now Avalon is already preparing for the immigration office, if it is managed to finish after hari raya, dan happy summer in Malaysia for all Malaysian people in Aussie... laugh.gif

nope, I'm previously from local U, back then in Malaysia, just pursue my study for Part 2. Waterfront good environment, walking to campus can be a lil bit slower when the wind blow...you will get even slower if riding a bicycle... sweat.gif

Oh well, in the event that I can't get a ticket, I'll just stay through summer or upgrade to business class.

Sigh. I gave you advice to book earlier in the future and cautioned you that it's not snap-easy to get a ticket during peak season, neither is it to get a refund for a partial ticket. If that isn't being helpful, what is?

Look, I went through the same situation as you okay; I booked my flight late and the first available flight was past my ticket expiry. SIA told me that due to IATA regulations my partially-used ticket couldn't be refunded. I almost forfeited my ticket had it not been for a personal favor from a friend's mother's friend within SIA.

Well zltan, much understood on your predicament, but what can admin do in this case. They can only give you the best of advice, but they aren't from SIA/MAS or any of the airline company .. flex.gif

Anyhow, my friend just booked her return ticket, apparently they put her in the wrong return time. She only got to know about this when she called in again for confirmation.
I immediately made a call to MAs Malaysia, told them the situation (well i gave them a piece of my mind), and they somehow found a seat for her. +603 7843 3000, thats their 24 hour hotline in Malaysia.

November/December is a near impossible date to fly back unless you book your tickets early. If your coming back to Melbourne in February, make sure you do your booking early as well. I'm going to work 2 months before flying back, to and fro January, return February. No confirmation because i'm waiting for AAX. Even if i can't get tickets back, im least worried because i'm already working during summers (Sadly as a programmer heh)
